The Genesis Electrified GV70 was today named the 2024 EV Pulse EV of the Year. This award underscores the Electrified GV70’s exceptional qualities in performance and design.
“The Electrified GV70 features an athletic design and powerful performance paired with advanced technology and exceptional cabin comfort,” said Claudia Marquez, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America. “As our first vehicle assembled in the United States and our third fully electric model, the Electrified GV70 represents a significant milestone in the growth of the Genesis brand. We are pleased to be recognized by EV Pulse as its inaugural EV of the Year.”
The Electrified GV70 offers dynamic driving experiences while incorporating the latest technologies and advanced safety features. Built upon the award-winning GV70 platform, the Electrified GV70 features standard equipment including a dual motor all-electric powertrain, 800V fast charging architecture, all-wheel drive, a 14.5-inch HD multimedia display, and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance and safety features, including Highway Driving Assist.
Launched in early 2023, the Electrified GV70 represents the third fully electric model in the Genesis lineup. It is the first Genesis model assembled in the United States at the brand’s manufacturing facility in Montgomery, Alabama.
EV Pulse EV of the Year was established in 2024 to recognize automotive excellence in electric vehicles. With an eye towards the consumer, EV Pulse editors put every EV through rigorous testing and grade each vehicle with a comprehensive scoring system. A fan vote is included, because for EVs to become mainstream they must be appealing, and bonus points are awarded to the winner for the most appealing of the top contenders.
The Genesis Electrified GV70 is available at select retailers in 33 states, including Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oklahoma, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
