Hyundai's Ioniq 6 named finalist for North American car of the year

Hyundai’s award-winning IONIQ 6[1]electric vehicle has been named a finalist for the coveted 2024 North American Car of the Year Award (NACTOY). Award finalists were announced at a Los Angeles Auto Show press conference today.
Fifty journalists from the U.S. and Canada make up the NACTOY jury, representing dozens of leading automotive outlets from print, online, and broadcast media. Jurors are required to evaluate all eligible new vehicles over the course of the year.
The IONIQ 6 has received numerous accolades since its debut, including 2023 World Car of the Year, World Electric Vehicle, and World Car Design of the Year, as well as Car and Driver’s EV of the Year. In addition, IONIQ 6 is the highest-rated EV car in Consumer Reports and its all-electric powertrain has been recognized as having one of the 2023 Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems.
