NOVITEC refines the Ferrari 812 Competizione

The 812 Competizione is the sportiest, road-going front-engine sports car ever offered by Ferrari. #novitec, the world’s leading tuner of the powerful cars from Maranello, now further refines the virtues of this lightweight-construction variant.
Even a sports car can never have enough power and accordingly the NOVITEC high-performance exhaust system, which also comes in a gold-plated version, increases peak power of the 6.5-liter V12 engine to 637 kW / 866 hp.
The product range for the two-seater also includes tailor-made #novitec hi-tech forged rims manufactured by American high-end producer Vossen. The choice of 21-inch wheels at the front and 22-inch rims for the rear axle brings the wedge shape of the coupe even more prominently to the fore.
The #novitec sports springs are specifically calibrated to this king-sized tire/wheel combination. They make the handling even more agile thanks to lowering the center of gravity. In addition, there is a front lift system that allows raising the vehicle body at the front axle by 40 millimeters at the touch of a button. This makes it possible to drive over speed bumps and navigate ramps of parking garages without unwanted ground contact.
Another #novitec specialty for all Ferrari models lies in the creation of exclusive interiors, which are meticulously tailored to the wishes of the vehicle owner in terms of color and #design.
Ferrari stands for motor racing and the 812 Competizione in particular embodies this DNA. But even this super sport car exudes greater fascination still thanks to yet more power and an even more spectacular exhaust note.
Although the twelve-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters remains untouched, the #novitec engineers found additional performance potential on the exhaust side. In order to unlock it, they conducted complex tests to develop a high-performance exhaust system with optimized exhaust flow and special thermal insulation. Customer can choose between different variants with or without active sound management by means of integrated butterfly valves.
All systems are available made from stainless steel or the even lighter INCONEL, a material also used in Formula 1 racing. The most exclusive version of the #novitec exhaust systems is made from this hi-tech alloy and features 999 gold plating. This gold plating literally gives these sports exhaust systems a “brilliant” appearance and outstanding heat dissipation characteristics.
The two tailpipes with matte black coating and a diameter of 120 millimeters are shaped to match the contour of the rear diffuser. In concert with the #novitec logo they give the exhaust system an even more spectacular appearance to boot.
Swapping the production catalysts for likewise heat-insulated 100-cell elements is advisable to let the V12 exhale even more freely. They, too, can be ordered with 999 gold plating.
After the installation of the complete #novitec exhaust system, which also saves weight compared with the stock exhaust, the engine of the 812 Competizione produces an impressive 26 kW / 36 hp more than with the production exhaust. Propelled by 637 kW / 866 hp at 9,200 rpm and a peak torque of 711 Nm at 6,950 rpm, the powerful sports car with a curb weight of just under 1,500 kilograms delivers yet more dynamic performance.
To give the 812 Competizione even more spectacular looks, #novitec in cooperation with American wheel manufacturer Vossen developed custom, hi-tech forged wheels, which make perfect use of the available space under the wheel arches. Customers can choose from three designs for this Ferrari.
The decision to install rims of different diameters on the front and rear axle places even greater emphasis on the wedge shape of the front-engine berlinetta. The attached photos show the sports car fitted with #novitec NF 10 ZV rims of size 10Jx21 at the front with 275/30 ZR 21 high-performance tires. The rear axle runs on wheels of size 12.5Jx22 with 335/25 ZR 22 tires. These wheels with five delicate twin-spoke pairs and stylized centerlock on the hub cover perfectly transfer the motor racing legend of Ferrari to the road-going sports car.
Of course, Vossen can produce the rims installed on this vehicle not only in black. More than 70 further colors and various surface finishes from brushed to mirror-polished are available to choose from.
NOVITEC also offers custom-developed solutions for the suspension of the 812 Competizione. Sports springs tuned to work with the production suspension lower the ride height of the front-engine sports car by about 25 millimeters. The #novitec Front Lift System is available to make it easier to master parking garage ramps and speed bumps. They raise the bow of the vehicle by 40 millimeters at the touch of a button. The front of the car reverts to its original position at another touch of the button or automatically upon reaching a seed of 80 km/h.
NOVITEC delivers absolute individuality for the cockpit of a Ferrari 812 Competizione as well. The choice of colors and designs for the interiors meticulously crafted from leather, Alcantara and carbon is virtually endless.
