625 kW / 850 hp and 1,400 Nm peak torque

Sporty carbon aerodynamics and hi-tech forged wheels

 Tailor-made #brabus MASTERPIECE interior

The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 represents the absolute pinnacle of global #automotive engineering in the area of luxury sedans. This makes it the perfect basis for a new #brabus MASTERPIECE supercar that at the highest level of perfection combines high performance, sporty-elegant design and an interior tailored to the loftiest standards.

The BRABUS 850 is the new top-of-the-range luxury sedan from the manufactory of #brabus (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, Internet www.brabus.com).

The BRABUS 850 6.3 V12 twin-turbo, increased-displacement engine in this supercar produces a massive peak power of 625 kW / 850 hp (838 bhp) and a huge peak torque of 1,400 Nm (1,033 lb-ft). It slings the all-wheel-drive luxury liner from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a mere 4.1 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

The looks of the exquisite four-seater are given a sporty-elegant upgrade with BRABUS exposed-carbon aerodynamic-enhancement components and 22-inch #brabus Monoblock Z "PLATINUM EDITION" hi-tech forged wheels.

Just as extravagant is the BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior, which captivates with the finest leather and Dinamica, all finished with the highest precision. In addition, carbon elements add sporty touches also in the cockpit.

The BRABUS 850 supercar as shown here sells for 470,000 euros (export price in Germany excluding statutory VAT).

The heart of this #brabus top-of-the-range sedan is the newly developed BRABUS 850 6.3 V12 twin-turbo, increased-displacement engine. To realize this power unit, the company's hi-tech engine shop applies the tried and proven principle of enlarging the swept volume. Bumping the engine capacity from stock 6.0 to 6.3 liters involves fitting the twelve-cylinder with a precision-balanced, custom billet crankshaft with a stroke of 90 millimeters (3.5 in), precision-balanced connecting rods, and forged pistons with corresponding compression height. The cylinder bore is increased to 83 millimeters (3.3 in).

Extensively revised engine peripherals are equally indispensable for achieving the envisioned high-performance level. The two stock turbochargers are replaced by turbos with larger compressor unit and turbine. In addition, the exhaust side uses metal catalysts that reduce dynamic pressure, special particulate filters, and a #brabus stainless high-performance exhaust system. Its actively controlled butterfly valves enable the driver to operate the supercar either in a decidedly subtle manner in the quiet "Coming Home" mode or enjoy a thrillingly powerful V12 exhaust note in the "Sport" position depending on the selected driving mode.

An optimized air supply for the engine is ensured on the intake side. Immediately identifiable is the BRABUS 850 intake module with sporty carbon applications. It accommodates two special air filter housings with high-performance filters and draws its air directly from the radiator grille via two newly designed air ducts.

The perfect interaction of all #brabus high-performance components is coordinated by new maps for injection, boost pressure control, and ignition. This ensures not only optimal power delivery but also compliance with the current, stringent emissions standards.

The BRABUS 850 6.3 V12 twin-turbo, increased-displacement engine, which is lubricated with fully synthetic motor oil from Motul, produces an output of 625 kW / 850 hp (838 bhp) at a low 5,500 rpm. The peak torque of 1,400 Nm (1,033 lb-ft) is equally massive and already on tap at 2,100 rpm. This figure is electronically limited to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) in the vehicle to protect the nine-speed automatic transmission and the all-wheel drivetrain.

Despite a gross vehicle weight rating of just under 2.9 metric tons, the BRABUS 850 supercar based on the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 delivers performance on the road that is usually only achieved by a few full-blooded super sports cars. The BRABUS 850 6.3 V12 powertrain accelerates the four-seater with 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.1 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). However, even more important is the utter effortlessness with which the #brabus luxury liner transforms even the slightest gas pedal travel into tremendous acceleration.

The new supercar from #brabus delivers not only outstanding performance, but also fascinates with its athletic appearance. The designers and modelers of the #automotive refinement specialist created custom-made aerodynamic-enhancement components for the current Mercedes-Maybach luxury sedan. They are produced from carbon in order to add decidedly sporty touches and come with a choice of high-gloss or matte sealed surface finish. The 'Black and Bold' signature character of this supercar is perfected by the black paint finish on all bodywork components.

A multi-piece carbon upgrade gives the BRABUS 850 an even more distinctive face. In addition, the #brabus front lip spoiler and the side air intake surrounds connected by a horizontal lip were shaped to reduce front-axle lift at high speeds. This further optimizes the handling stability and routes the airflow even more precisely to the radiators and front brakes to boot.

The #brabus exposed-carbon diffuser features tailor-made cutouts for the two black- enameled tailpipes of the #brabus sports exhaust system and gives the rear end of the BRABUS 850 an emphatically sporty styling.

The exquisite look of this supercar also includes large wheels that make perfect use of the available space in the fender wells of the four-door. #brabus chose BRABUS Monoblock Z "PLATINUM EDITION" wheels painted black with a diameter of 22 inches for this vehicle.

The ten-spoke rims are manufactured using sophisticated forging technology and hi-tech CNC machining. As a result, they offer an outstanding combination of high strength and lightweight construction. The wheels of sizes 9Jx22 at the front and 10.5Jx22 on the rear axle carry high-performance tires from technology partner Continental of sizes 265/30 ZR 22 and 305/25 ZR 22, respectively.

These wheels give the luxury liner particularly thrilling looks. What is more: they also make the handling even more agile. This effect can be further refined with the #brabus SportXtra control module for the air suspension of the Mercedes-Maybach. It lowers the ride height of the supercar by up to 20 millimeters (0.8 in) without impairing the superb ride quality.

A #brabus supercar also includes a particularly exclusive MASTERPIECE interior, which is crafted with maximum precision in the company upholstery shop. To match the all-black color scheme of the vehicle, "Dark Gray" was chosen as the shade for the fine leather and the Dinamica microfiber.

As is true for all #brabus interiors, the great love of detail is evident throughout here as well. This includes the exceedingly accurate shell-shaped quilting on the center sections of the door panels and the seat surfaces, where the equally precise perforation of the exquisite material ensures optimal function of the seat ventilation. The shell-shaped quilting on select leather sections of the interior and on the leather trunk mat is applied with that same high precision.

As on the bodywork, carbon also adds sporty touches in the interior. This includes, among other things, 'BRABUS Signature' carbon elements on the steering wheel, dashboard, center console, and door panels. Even the pedals are fitted with #brabus pedal pads made from carbon fiber, which however always ensure safe operation thanks to their integrated rubber studs. Last but not least, exactly 306 plastic parts such as switches, bezels and air vents are enhanced with "Shadow Chrome" coating.

Each BRABUS 850 supercar is made to individual customer specification. Alternatively, customers who already have a Mercedes-Maybach S 680 can have their own vehicle customized.
