Toto Wolff and James Allison Attend Energy Asia

PETRONAS-organised #event provided a platform for strategic discussion to advance Asia’s net-zero ambitions
Toto Wolff, CEO and Team Principal of the Mercedes-AMG #petronas F1 Team, and Technical Director #jamesallison, both attended and spoke at the #energyasia (26-28 June) conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this week. Held at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the duo partook in several events as part of the three-day conference.
Organised by #petronas, the Team’s Title and Technical Partner, the conference brought together energy professionals, industry captains, and policy makers to discuss and debate pathways for the region to successfully decarbonise. Toto and James were present on day two of the #event, discussing the Team’s own sustainability journey, including both challenges and initiatives. A lunch talk focused on leadership lessons from F1 followed a fireside chat at #petronas Energy Park for Toto. James meanwhile took part in an informal discussion and Q&A on innovation before both met and talked to Future Energy Leaders.
Toto said: “As a Team, we are all in on sustainability and embedding it in everything we do. #petronas share a similar ethos and it was therefore fantastic to both attend and speak at the inaugural #energyasia. There were fascinating discussions and insights, and I have no doubt that it has already secured its place as one of the key global industry events. Thank you to #petronas for their commitment, for bringing us together, and for giving the topic the time it deserves.”
James commented: “Innovation is at the heart of what we do in our sport. We’re a Team of pioneers and problem solvers and it was therefore captivating to spend time with, and talk to, innovators from other industries.
