FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 2, 2022 – In recognition of Black History Month, #hyundai Motor America is launching The Progress Project by #hyundai, an initiative to support Black-owned businesses in Montgomery, Alabama. Starting this month, #hyundai will be making donations of $15,000 each to three local businesses.
“Our U.S. manufacturing facility is proud to call Montgomery home. Montgomery is a city rich in culture and a cornerstone in the civil rights movement,” said Dana White, chief communications officer, #hyundai Motor North America. “The pandemic has been particularly hard for small businesses and as a member of this vibrant community #hyundai wants to help these businesses grow and thrive.”

The stories of these businesses will be covered on Hyundai’s social media channels beginning this month. #hyundai plans to expand the project to other markets and businesses as part of its #corporate social responsibility programming.
