Opening of orders in France for new Citroën C5 Aircross SUV

• New C5 Aircross SUV – unveiled to the public on 12th January – is now available to order in France.
• Building on its commercial success, particularly of its Plug-in Hybrid version, which represented 45% of C5 Aircross orders in Q4 2021, C5 Aircross is evolving to become more mature by adopting a more modern and assertive style, while building on its status as the most comfortable and versatile SUV in its segment.
• The New C5 Aircross range includes six petrol- and diesel-engine versions, from 27 450 €, and five plug-in hybrid versions, from 40 950 €.
• It will arrive in Citroën points of sale from May 2022.

MOVING UPMARKET

New C5 Aircross is available in six versions for retail customers in France:

Live: without compromising on comfort or safety, the Live entry-level version offers suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions^®, three individual rear sliding seats, foldable with backrest adjustment and the Safety Pack, which includes the Active Safety Brake and Lane Departure Warning System. Following this restyling, the Live version also comes equipped with rear park assist, a driver’s seat with lumbar adjustments and a second USB port in the central console.

Feel: for even greater comfort, the Feel version is fitted with new Citroën Advanced Comfort seats and the 12"3 customisable digital display. The Feel version is also equipped with dual-zone automatic air-conditioning and is set off by 18" SWIRL alloy wheels and chrome exhaust pipes.

Feel Plug-in Hybrid: the Feel entry-level plug-in hybrid version benefits from My Citroën Play Hybrid (10" touchscreen with Numerical Radio and Mirror Screen function) and My Citroën Assist (telematics box with SOS Pack and Assistance included). Compared with the petrol and diesel versions, Feel Plug-in Hybrid benefits from the Safety+ Pack (with Active Safety Brake and Blind Spot Monitoring System), Front Park Assist, Reversing Camera with Top Rear Vision, Keyless Entry and Start, Front fog-lamps lights with cornering lights and electric-folding door mirrors. Like the other finishes in the plug-in hybrid range, Feel Plug-in Hybrid includes specific hybrid equipment such as the Mode 2 electric cable, the 3.7 kW on-board charger and the HYBRID auto-dimming rear view mirror with “ZEV Mode” LED.

Feel Pack: the core range now has a Feel Pack version featuring new 18" PULSAR two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and fitted with comfort and safety equipment such as Front Park Assist, Reversing camera with Top Rear Vision, Keyless Entry and Start, Front fog-lamps lights with cornering lights and electric-folding door mirrors.

C-Series special edition: in the range, the special edition is mid-way between the Feel Pack and Shine versions. It offers the new 10" Touchscreen with My Citroën Drive (including Numerical & Connected Navigation and the Danger Zones, Traffic Info, Service Stations, Car Parks, Weather, and Local Search services) and ever more elegant and dynamic customisation with the new Anodised Bronze Colour Pack.

Shine: the Shine version stands out for its new and very refined colours and materials, including Glossy Black roof bars with Matt Black inserts, a new Dark Chrome Colour Pack and the new Urban Black Ambience (combination of Black Alcantara and black leather-effect fabric). The Shine version still offers more comfort and safety, with the Drive Assist Pack (including Driver Attention Alert, Collision Risk Alert, Intelligent Beam Headlights, Extended Trafic Sign Recognition and Speed Recommendation, and Adaptive Cruise Control) and the Safety+ Pack (with Active Safety Brake 2.0 and Blind Spot Monitoring System).

Shine Pack: the Shine Pack version tops off the range with the New Metropolitan Black Ambience, now even more elegant and prestigious with its new black grained leather and the new grey leather-effect fabric on the upper part of the seats. On the outside, the 19" ART two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels underline the high-end positioning of the vehicle. In terms of driving comfort and safety, the Shine Pack version benefits from the Electric Driver’s Seat (eight-way), heated front seats and Highway Driver Assist.

As an option on the Shine Pack, New C5 Aircross offers the Hype Black Ambience which, with the new Paloma perforated leather, the blue Nappa leather at the top of the seats and the special Chevron topstitching, gives the passenger compartment an even more dynamic and high-end feel.

For professionals, Business Packs are available to order. The Thermal Business Pack consists of Front Park Assist, Reversing Camera with Top Rear Vision, My Citroën Drive with 10" touchscreen, Safety+ Pack (Active Safety Brake 2.0, Safety Pack and Blind Spot Monitoring system) and the auto-dimming rear view mirror. The Business Hybrid Pack consists of My Citroën Drive with 10" touchscreen and acoustic laminated front side windows.

The Plug-in Hybrid range includes five versions: Feel Plug-in Hybrid, Feel Pack Plug-in Hybrid, C-Series Plug-in Hybrid, Shine Plug-in Hybrid and Shine Pack Plug-in Hybrid.

They have the same equipment levels and ambiences as the petrol and diesel versions (except for the Feel Hybrid version seen above), with three specific characteristics associated with the Plug-in Hybrid engine: the Mode 2 cable (8A), the 3.7 kW on-board charger and the HYBRID auto-dimming rear view mirror with “ZEV Mode” LED.

Petrol:

• PureTech 130 S&S BVM6 (on Live, Feel, Feel Pack and C-Series)
• PureTech 130 S&S EAT8 (on Feel, Feel Pack, C-Series, Shine and Shine Pack)

• BlueHDi 130 S&SS BVM6 (on Live, Feel, Feel Pack, C-Series and Shine)

Plug-in Hybrid:

• Hybrid 225 S&S EAT8 (on Feel, Feel Pack, C-Series, Shine and Shine Pack) 

CUSTOMISATION TO PROMOTE ELEGANCE AND DYNAMISM

New C5 Aircross offers six body colours:

• five existing shades popular with customers: Polar White, Pearl White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey and Perla Nera Black.
• one new Eclipse Blue shade, a very deep and elegant blue, with a metallic pearl finish.

Four colours are available with the black roof to create a dynamic two-tone effect: Pearl White, Steel Grey, Platinum Grey and Eclipse Blue.

The Colour Packs offer four new shades, with a subtle treatment that provides elegance, dynamism and a move upmarket: Glossy Black, Dark Chrome, Energetic Blue and Anodised Bronze (specific on the C-Series special edition).

The new Protective Fairing comes in two colours: Glossy Black and Glossy Aluminium.

New C5 Aircross offers a varied choice of alloy wheels:

• 17" ELLIPSE alloy wheels,
• New 18" PULSAR two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels,
• 19" ART two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels,
• 19" ART Black alloy wheels

NEW AMBIENCES TO SUPPORT THE MOVE UPMARKET

One modernised entry-level ambience and four new Advanced Comfort ambiences create a more prestigious and luxury atmosphere:

• The topstitching has evolved on the entry-level ambience to become blue, as on all the interior ambiences, to perfectly match the other topstitching present in the passenger compartment (door armrests and decorative straps on the dashboard);
• The new Wild Black ambience replaces the Wild Grey ambience, adopting a new black SAO structured fabric mixed with a grey leather-effect fabric at the top of the backrest. An Advanced Comfort mid-range specification that is both modern and sophisticated;
• The new Urban Black ambience, a combination of Alcantara black and black leather-effect fabric, exudes dynamism while guaranteeing benchmark comfort;
• The new Metropolitan Black ambience, replacing the Metropolitan Grey ambience, brings a new Black grained leather to the seats, combined with a Grey leather-effect fabric at the top of the backrest. A major focus has been placed on prestige and perceived quality;
• To top off the range, the Hype Black ambience is being refreshed. A subtle combination of new Paloma perforated leather and dark blue Nappa leather at the top of the backrest, they provide access to a complete package of functions designed to enhance comfort, including electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory settings, as well as a multi-point massage function using eight pneumatic pockets at various points in the backrest. The attention to detail is pushed to its maximum here, with blue topstitching at the top of the backrest, with a “chevron” pattern, adding an exclusive touch to this ambience.

Available for ordering in France on the 1^st of February, New C5 Aircross will arrive in the brand's points of sale in May 2022.
