Nissan Americas announces senior management appointment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan is announcing a key leadership appointment for its Americas region.

Effective Nov. 15, Nissan is promoting Andrew Tavi to the new role of regional senior vice president, Legal, Sustainability and External Affairs, Nissan Americas. This new position aligns several key strategic management functions under one leader within the top leadership group for the Americas.

Tavi has most recently served as vice president, Legal & External Affairs, Americas, where he had responsibility over the legal, government affairs, sustainability functions in the region. In his new role, he also adds oversight of compliance and corporate security.

"Andrew has demonstrated strategic leadership across multiple functional areas, and an increasingly complex regulatory and commercial environment requires strong management at the highest levels in the Americas," said Jérémie Papin, chairperson, Nissan Americas. "In addition to leveraging his broad expertise in legal and external affairs, Andrew will also lead the efforts to implement our Americas plan to support the company’s drive to carbon neutrality across our operations by 2050.

After joining Nissan in 2009, Tavi has held leadership positions in a several strategic areas including legal, government affairs, corporate planning, human resources, compliance and sustainability.

Tavi holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Michigan and doctorate in jurisprudence from the University of Michigan Law School.
