L’Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team pronto per il fascinoso round argentino di San Juan
E' tempo del primo round oltreoceano per l'Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team, che questo fine settimana sarà impegnato sul circuito di #sanjuan, teatro dell'appuntamento numero undici del campionato mondiale Supersport 2021. Il tracciato argentino torna dunque ad ospitare il paddock SBK, dopo l'assenza del 2020 causa Covid e l'ingresso in calendario del 2018.
Tra i saliscendi di #sanjuan #stevenodendaal va a caccia di grandi risultati. La vittoria in Gara 2 nello scorso round di Portimao ha galvanizzato il pilota sudafricano, desideroso di ripetersi in quello che sarà il suo primo fine settimana in assoluto sul tracciato argentino. Steven occupa attualmente la seconda posizione in classifica generale con 300 punti, frutto di cinque vittorie ed un totale di undici podi, con 54 lunghezze di ritardo nei confronti del leader Aegerter.
Potrà invece contare sull'esperienza maturata in passato #petersebestyen, già a punti sia nel 2018 che nel 2019 a #sanjuan. Il pilota ungherese sta costantemente mostrando segnali di crescita in sella alla Yamaha YZF – R6 del team campione del mondo in carica, avendo già conquistato la top ten in quattro occasioni, ed avendo ripetuto in Gara 2 a Portimao il suo miglior risultato stagionale (9°).
Grazie ai risultati dei suoi due portacolori l'Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team occupa attualmente la terza posizione nella classifica riservata ai team con 344 punti, soli 15 in meno rispetto alla seconda piazza. Il round argentino scatterà come di consueto venerdì con i due turni di prove libere, mentre sabato sarà il momento della Superpole e di Gara 1, con Gara 2 di domenica a chiudere il programma. Per quanto riguarda l'Italia la Superpole e le due gare saranno visibili live su Sky Sport MotoGP, canale 208 di Sky.

Steven Odendaal: "Sono molto motivato in vista di questo weekend. Io ed il team siamo in grande forma, e l'obiettivo è quello di vincere. Ovviamente non sarà facile perché #sanjuan è per me un tracciato nuovo e gli avversari non mancano, ma conosciamo il nostro potenziale. Vogliamo tenere aperto il campionato fino all'ultimo round, quindi dobbiamo conquistare il maggior numero possibile di punti".
Peter Sebestyen: "Il fatto che conosca la pista certamente mi aiuterà, ma sono altrettanto sicuro che le condizioni del tracciato cambieranno tante volte nel corso del weekend. Nell'ultimo round disputato abbiamo compiuto degli importanti passi avanti, il che mi fa ben sperare per il weekend alle porte: dobbiamo lavorare sulla Superpole per partire nelle prime tre file e poter conquistare i risultati che cerchiamo".
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Le gare oltreoceano sono sempre speciali, e vanno affrontate con uno spirito diverso. Abbiamo grande fiducia nei nostri piloti, ma sappiamo che in #argentina può succedere davvero di tutto. Dobbiamo dare il massimo, e tra Steven e Peter deve esserci la giusta collaborazione. I risultati di Portimao ci hanno regalato una grande carica, con la quale siamo pronti a sfidare #sanjuan ed i nostri avversari".
The Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team ready for the fascinating Argentinean round in San Juan
It's time for the first overseas round for the Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team, which this weekend will be busy at the #sanjuan circuit, the scene of round eleven of the 2021 World Supersport Championship. The Argentinean track therefore returns to host the SBK paddock, after the absence of 2020 due to Covid and the entry on the calendar in 2018.
Among the ups and downs of #sanjuan #stevenodendaal is looking for great results. The victory in Race 2 in the last round in Portimao has galvanized the South African rider, who is eager to repeat himself in what will be his first ever weekend on the Argentinean track. Steven currently occupies the second position in the overall standings with 300 points, the result of five victories and a total of eleven podiums, with 54 points behind the leader Aegerter.
Instead, he will be able to count on the experience gained in the past #petersebestyen, who has already scored points both in 2018 and 2019 in #sanjuan. The Hungarian rider is constantly showing signs of growth riding the Yamaha YZF - R6 of the reigning world champion team, having already conquered the top ten on four occasions, and having repeated in Race 2 in Portimao his best result of the season (9th).
Thanks to the results of its two riders, the Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team currently occupies the third position in the team standings with 344 points, just 15 less than the second place. The Argentinean round will start as usual on Friday with the two free practice sessions, while on Saturday it will be time for the Superpole and Race 1, with Race 2 on Sunday to close the program. As for Italy, the Superpole and the two races will be visible live on Sky Sport MotoGP, channel 208 of Sky.

Steven Odendaal: "I'm very motivated ahead of this weekend. The team and I are in great shape and the goal is to win. Obviously it won't be easy because #sanjuan is a new track for me and there are plenty of opponents, but we know our potential. We want to keep the championship open until the last round, so we need to conquer as many points as possible."
Peter Sebestyen: "The fact that I know the track will certainly help me, but I'm also sure that the track conditions will change many times during the weekend. In the last round we made important steps forward, which gives me hope for the upcoming weekend: we have to work on the Superpole to start in the first three rows and be able to get the results we are looking for".
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Overseas races are always special and must be approached with a different spirit. We have great confidence in our riders, but we know that in #argentina anything can happen. We have to give our best, and between Steven and Peter there has to be the right collaboration. The results of Portimao have given us a great charge, with which we are ready to challenge #sanjuan and our opponents".
