Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Oncu e Oettl sono settimo e ottavo nelle libere di Portimao
Giornata soleggiata e calda oggi all'Autodromo Internacional do Algarve a #portimao in Portogallo, per il decimo round del Campionato Mondiale Supersport. Oggi l'obiettivo dei due piloti della squadra di Manuel Puccetti, il tedesco Phillipp Oettl ed il turco Can Oncu, è stato quello di trovare il migliore assetto per le loro Ninja in vista delle due gare di questo weekend portoghese.
Nella prima sessione di prove libere di questa mattina Oncu (1'44"954) ha fatto segnare il quinto tempo, precedendo di soli due millesimi il compagno di squadra Oettl (1'44"956).
Nella seconda sessione la temperatura è stata decisamente più elevata e questo ha diminuito il grip dell'asfalto. In queste condizioni Oncu (1'46"097) e Oettl (1'45"198) non hanno potuto migliorare il loro best lap del mattino, ma hanno comunque chiuso le prove libere rispettivamente al settimo ed all'ottavo posto.
Domani i due alfieri del #kawasakipuccettiracing disputeranno la Superpole e la prima gara del decimo round WorldSSP

Oncu and Oettl seventh and eighth in #portimao free practice
Conditions at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in #portimao, Portugal were hot and sunny today for the start of the tenth Supersport World Championship round. Today's goal for Manuel Puccetti's riders, German Phillipp Oettl and Turk Can Oncu, was to identify the best set-up for their Ninjas ahead of the weekend's two races.
During the morning's first free practice, Oncu (1'44"954) set the fifth fastest time, just two thousandths of a second ahead of team-mate Oettl (1'44"956).
In the second session, temperatures were significantly higher and this reduced the level of grip on track. In these conditions, Oncu (1'46"097) and Oettl (1'45"198) were unable to improve on their best times of the morning, but they nevertheless finished practice in seventh and eighth place overall.
Tomorrow, the two #kawasakipuccettiracing riders will compete in the Superpol and the first of races making up this tenth #worldssp round.
