Back to his hard-charging best and running up front in the #mxgp World Championship, Standing Construct #gasgas Factory Racing’s #paulsjonass has claimed a solid fourth place overall result at the #mxgp of Germany! Great starts in both points-paying motos allowed the Latvian to ride his own races, battle hard, and secure solid 6-4 result at the ridiculously rutty Teutschenthal circuit. Teammate Brian Bogers also impressed on the hardpack with the Dutchman placing eighth overall. In the MX2 class it was Simon Langenfelder’s home GP with his seventh-place overall result definitely giving the supportive crowd something to shout about. Isak Gifting ultimately placed 13th overall.

Pauls Jonass: “Overall, it was a good day with decent starts and decent results. The only thing I’m lacking is a little intensity on the opening laps. My speed is good so if I can just stay a little closer to the leaders early in the races then I think I can improve my results a little. Together with the Standing Construct #gasgas team we’ve found a really good setting with the bike and with a lot of hardpack races coming up on the calendar, I’m feeling really confident for the weeks ahead".

Back on his favored hardpack, #paulsjonass was on the gas at the #mxgp of #Germany with great starts and some calculated riding securing the Latvian a super-solid fourth overall. Frustrated at having not ridden with a little more intensity through the early laps of race one, the 24-year-old dropped to sixth on the opening lap but regrouped as the race progressed to chase Antonio Cairoli across the finish line.

Race two saw a notable improvement for Jonass. With his #gasgas MC 450F powering him to the first turn up front, Pauls ran as high as second place before losing a few spots on the opening lap. Dropping back to fifth, Jonass maintained his strong pace to reel in Glenn Coldenhoff and make the pass for fourth with just three laps to go.

Pauls’ Standing Construct GASGAS teammate Brian Bogers also enjoyed a positive day in #Germany. After showing incredible speed in qualifying, the Dutchman lined up for race one confident of a solid result. Emerging from the first turn in fifth position, the 25-year-old then suffered with arm-pump, which caused him to slow his pace and resulted in a ninth-place finish.

Brian was again well placed inside the top 10 early on in #moto two and this time began moving forwards as the race progressed. Running as high as sixth position for a few laps, Bogers would ultimately claim an impressive seventh-place finish in the #moto for eighth overall. Not a bad result at all for the sand specialist who now moves from 13th to 11th in the series standings.

The #mxgp of #Germany was the home race for the DIGA Procross #gasgas Factory #racing team and the home GP for MX2 class racer Simon Langenfelder. Giving the crowd something to shout about all day, the 17-year-old ran up front in both motos with an excellent sixth place in race one setting him up for a strong overall result.
