New York City, United States of America, 09 July 2021 – Multiple skiing champion and Jaguar Land Rover ambassador, Lindsey Vonn, joined the Jaguar Racing team for the tenth round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and experienced the thrill of the Red Hook track in Brooklyn, overlooking Manhattan in the all-electric Jaguar I-PACE.

The alpine skiing champion swapped the slopes for the streets by getting behind-the-wheel of the Jaguar I-TYPE 5 race car at the ABB New York City E-Prix. Vonn supported the Jaguar Racing team by participating in a crucial pit-stop practice.

The 36-year-old American also had an exclusive hot lap of the iconic Brooklyn circuit in the award-winning I-PACE with Formula E presenter, commentator and four-time IndyCar series champion, Dario Franchitti, before watching race drivers Sam Bird and Mitch Evans battle it out in New York this weekend.

Vonn and the Jaguar drivers discussed their fitness regimes, pre-race preparations and what it takes to be an athlete in a fast-paced sport, where the need for speed and precision is everything.

Lindsey Vonn said: "It's been amazing to be with Jaguar Racing here in Brooklyn for the E-Prix. While I'm a huge fan of motorsport and have been to many races, it's the first time I've been to a Formula E event and it's been such a fantastic experience. The acceleration and power in the Jaguar I-PACE is incredible and Formula E is doing a great job highlighting the importance of electric cars. I love racing and it's been great to compare notes with Sam and Mitch on the differences and similarities between racing on the slopes and racing on the streets. I wish them both well this weekend."

James Barclay, Team Director, Jaguar Racing said: "Lindsey Vonn is a fantastic ambassador for Jaguar Land Rover and it's been great to have her here with Jaguar Racing today. Lindsey's achievements and record at the pinnacle of international skiing is inspiring. To hear about her approach to skiing is highly motivational for us as a team. The opportunity for Sam, Mitch and Lindsey to compare notes from each other's disciplines is always enjoyable and beneficial, we never stop learning. Pit-stop practice is an important part of what we do when we're preparing for a race weekend and it's great that Lindsey had the opportunity to play a role in our preparation. She brought enormous positivity to the whole team and we will use it as further motivation for this weekend."

The lights turn green for the tenth round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship tomorrow, 10 July 2021 on the streets of Brooklyn at 16:30 EDT.
