Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Terzo round WorldSBK e WorldSS al Misano World Circuit
Dopo un anno di assenza i Campionati Mondiali Superbike e Supersport tornano in Italia al #misanoworldcircuit. Per il #kawasakipuccettiracing si tratta del round di casa, anche se purtroppo a causa delle regole decise dalla Dorna per contrastare il diffondersi del covid19, anche questo terzo appuntamento del calendario 2021 si disputerà a porte chiuse. Sono stati messi in vendita un migliaio di biglietti per le tribune numerate, ma il paddock sarà accessibile solo agli addetti ai lavori.
Nei precedenti round al Motorland Aragon e all'Estoril in Supersport la squadra di Manuel Puccetti ha raccolto ottimi risultati, culminati con i tre podi (un secondo e due terzi posti) conquistati da #philippoettl, mentre il suo compagno di squadra Can Oncu, al suo primo anno con il #kawasakipuccettiracing, ha mostrato continui miglioramenti sino al settimo posto ottenuto nell'ultima gara in Portgallo.
In Superbike il percorso di crescita di #lucasmahias è sino ad ora caratterizzato dagli alti e bassi tipici di chi non ha mai corso nella classe regina delle derivate dalla serie. Il francese ha dimostrato di avere un ottimo potenziale e di essere sulla strada giusta per poterlo esprimere completamente.
Nel round di Misano tutte e tre le #moto del #kawasakipuccettiracing scenderanno in pista con la storica livrea ELF, simile a quella usata negli anni 80' da "Rocket Ron" Haslam, che il team #kawasakipuccettiracing ha già schierato negli anni passati, in occasione dei round italiani del mondiale Superbike e che per la prima volta comparirà anche sulle ZX-6R Supersport di Oettl e Oncu. Una livrea che celebra la partnership tra Total Italia ed il #kawasakipuccettiracing, un rapporto professionale solido, costruito nel tempo e che rappresenta per entrambi un motivo di orgoglio che si rinnova ogni stagione.
L'autodromo di Misano è stato progettato nel 1969 e negli anni 90 ha beneficiato di un ampio programma di ristrutturazione, che ha garantito la disponibilità di un impianto sempre più efficiente. Nel 1993 la pista venne allungata a 4.060 metri e venne costruita una nuova palazzina dei box. Alla fine del 2006 l'impianto venne chiuso per consentire la realizzazione di un nuovo tracciato ed in soli cinque mesi la pista venne allungata a 4.180 metri, con l'inversione del senso di marcia (ora in senso orario) mentre le tribune aumentarono la propria capienza ad oltre 23.000 posti. Attualmente la pista misura 4.226 metri con 16 curve delle quali dieci a destra e sei a sinistra, con la pole position a destra.

Kawasaki Puccetti #racing – Third #WorldSBK and #WorldSS round at the Misano World Circuit
After one year's absence, the Superbike and Supersport World Championship returns to Italy and the #misanoworldcircuit. This is the home round for #kawasakipuccettiracing, although Dorna rules put in place to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus unfortunately mean that this third round of the 2021 season will also take place behind closed doors. Although 1000 tickets have been sold for the numbered grandstands, only staff will have access to the paddock.
During the previous rounds at Motorland Aragon and Estoril, Manuel Puccetti's team scored very strong results in Supersport, with three podiums (one second- and two third-place finishes) for #philippoettl, while team-mate Can Oncu, in his first year with #kawasakipuccettiracing, has shown continual improvement, achieving a seventh-place finish in the last Portuguese race.
In Superbike, Lucas Mahias' growth path has seen the highs and lows typical of a rookie rider in the production-derived reigning class. The Frenchman has nevertheless shown excellent potential and looks to be well on the way to being able to fully express himself on track.
During the Misano round, all three #kawasakipuccettiracing bikes will take to the track with the historic ELF livery, similar to that used in the 80s by "Rocket Ron" Haslam. #kawasakipuccettiracing has already raced with this livery in the past, during Italian Superbike rounds, and will now extend this to the ZX-6R Supersport bikes of Oettl and Oncu. A livery that celebrates the partnership between Total Italia and #kawasakipuccettiracing, a stable and professional relationship developed over time that is a point of pride for both parties.
The #misanoworldcircuit was designed in 1969 and underwent extensive refurbishment in the 90s, which made for an even more efficient facility. In 1993 the track was lengthened to 4060 metres and a new garage building was built. At the end of 2006, the circuit was closed to allow for the construction of a new track and, in just five months, the track was lengthened to 4180 metres, the direction of travel also inverted (the track now runs in a clockwise direction). The capacity of the grandstands was also increased, to more than 23,000 seats. The track currently measures 4226 metres in length with sixteen turns, ten of which right-handers and six left, and with a right-hand pole position.
