Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Conclusi i test a Misano. Si parte per Aragon
Il #kawasakipuccettiracing ha concluso due giorni di prove al #misano World Circuit. Un meteo favorevole ed una pista asciutta hanno facilitato il lavoro dei tecnici e dei piloti del team di #manuelpuccetti, nell'ultimo test prima del primo appuntamento con il mondiale al #motorlandaragon.
In Superbike #lucasmahias ha provato la Ninja ZX-10RR 2021 con la quale correrà in Spagna tra pochi giorni ed il suo miglior crono è stato di 1'35"058. Un riferimento cronometrico molto positivo, se si considera che è stata la prima volta di Lucas sulla #moto 2021 e che l'obiettivo è stato quello di trovare un buon ritmo senza badare al tempo sul giro. In Supersport, dove entrambi i piloti hanno utilizzato sulle loro #moto la storica livrea ELF, purtroppo #phillipoettl non era nelle migliori condizioni fisiche in quanto debilitato dal vaccino anti covid19 che gli è stato iniettato nella giornata di mercoledì. Ciò nonostante il pilota tedesco ha confermato di essere a proprio agio con la sua ZX-6R e nonostante i pochi giri percorsi il suo best lap di 1'38"190 è a soli 3 millesimi dal record della pista stabilito da Sandro Cortese nel 2018. Can Oncu ha sfruttato queste due giornate di #misano per continuare ad adattare il suo stile di guida alla sua #moto. Anche il pilota turco ha cercato di trovare un buon ritmo sulla distanza ed il suo miglior giro è stato in 1'39"308.
Non appena concluse le prove i camion del #kawasakipuccettiracing sono partiti alla volta di Alcaniz, in Spagna.
Manuel Puccetti:
"Ci tenevamo molto a correre questi test con i piloti del CIV in un campionato nel quale ci sentiamo sempre come a casa, e dove il livello è davvero molto alto. Abbiamo potuto svolgere un ottimo lavoro di sviluppo delle nostre #moto, e raccolto dati per quando torneremo a #misano in occasione delle gare del mondiale a metà giugno. In Superbike abbiamo provato la #moto nella versione definitiva 2021, con la quale correremo il mondiale. In Supersport abbiamo proseguito il lavoro di sviluppo iniziato nei test precedenti. Siamo pronti per il primo round di Aragon".
Lucas Mahias:
"Sono contento di aver potuto provare la mia #moto nella versione 2021. Abbiamo lavorato molto bene e la squadra si è impegnata per adattare la nuova Ninja al mio stile di guida. Da parte mia ho cercato di comprendere e di sfruttare tutto il potenziale della #moto e posso dire che abbiamo lavorato nella giusta direzione. Ora andiamo ad Aragon per affrontare il mio primo round del mondiale Superbike. Non sarà facile, ma sono molto fiducioso perché so di avere un ottimo team pronto ad aiutarmi".
Can Oncu:
"Sono stati due giornate impegnative, nelle quali sono riuscito a comprendere meglio la #moto e ad adattare il mio stile di guida alla mia ZX-6R. Ho lavorato molto bene con la squadra, cercando di trovare un buon ritmo anche con le gomme usurate e sono certo che nel primo round al Motorland raccoglieremo i frutti di quanto abbiamo fatto qui a Misano".
Philipp Oettl:
"Ieri ho percorso solo pochi giri perché non stavo molto bene a causa del vaccino che mi è stato iniettato mercoledì. Nulla di particolare, ma mi stancavo presto. Questa mattina la situazione è migliorata anche se non sono ancora al 100%. Per fortuna ho la possibilità di riposarmi per alcuni giorni prima di scendere in pista ad Aragon. Anche se ho girato poco ho avuto la conferma di avere un ottimo feeling con la mia #moto, e soprattutto di avere una maggior esperienza rispetto all'anno passato, e questo mi consente di sfruttare meglio il potenziale della #moto. Mi sento pronto per Aragon".
Kawasaki Puccetti #racing – Testing concludes at #misano; the team departs for Aragon
Kawasaki Puccetti #racing has completed a two-day test at the #misano World Circuit. Favourable weather and a dry track facilitated the work for the technicians and riders on Manuel Puccetti's team, during what was their final test before the first world championship round to be held at Motorland Aragóon.
In Superbike, #lucasmahias tested the Ninja ZX-10RR 2021 with which he'll compete in Spain in a few days' time. His best time was a 1'35"058, a very encouraging reference considering that this was Lucas' first time aboard the 2021 bike and that the aim was to find good rhythm without focusing overly on lap times. In Supersport, #phillipoettl was unfortunately not in the best physical shape, still feeling weak after having received the anti-Covid vaccine on Wednesday. Despite this, the German rider demonstrated that he's at ease with the ZX-6R and, although he completed only a few laps, his best lap, set in 1'38"190, was just 0.003 of a second shy of the track record, set by Sandro Cortese in 2018. Can Oncu made the most of the #misano sessions to continue to adapt his riding style to his bike. The Turkish rider also focused on getting into a good rhythm over a longer distance, his fastest time a 1'39"308.
As soon as the sessions concluded, the #kawasakipuccettiracing trucks set off in the direction of Alcañiz, in Spain.
Manuel Puccetti:
"We were really keen to complete these tests with the CIV riders, in a championship where we always feel at home, and where the level is really very high. We were able to complete some great work to develop our bikes and collected data that we can use when we return to #misano for the world championship round in mid-June. In Superbike, we tested the bike in its definitive 2021 version, with which we'll compete in the world championship. In Supersport, we continued the development work we started during previous tests. We're ready for the opening Aragón round".
Lucas Mahias:
"I'm pleased to have tested my bike in its 2021 version. We've worked well and the team has really focused on adapting the new Ninja to my riding style. On my side, I've tried to understand and exploit the bike's full potential and I can say our work's definitely taken us in the right direction. Now we head to Aragón for my very first WorldSBK round. It won't be easy, but I'm confident because I know I have a great team ready to help me".
Can Oncu:
"Two very busy days, in which I've been able to better understand the bike and adapt my riding style to my ZX-6R. I've worked well with the team, trying to find a good rhythm even on used tyres, and I'm sure that we'll see the fruits of our labours here at #misano when we get to the first world championship round".
Philipp Oettl:
"Yesterday I only completed a few laps because I wasn't well after getting the vaccine on Wednesday. Nothing serious, but I was getting tired quickly. This morning things were better, even if I'm still not 100%. Luckily, I now have time to rest up for a few days before heading out on track at Aragón. Although I didn't ride much, I know I have great feeling with the bike and more experience compared to last year of course, which helps me to better exploit the bike's potential. I feel ready for Aragón".
