Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

  • After the successes of 2020, Abarth’s 360° commitment to motorsport continues with 20 events already scheduled.
  • Eighth season alongside the #italianf4championship Powered by Abarth and the seventh year for the ADAC F4 Championship Powered by Abarth. Preparatory formula #racing in the name of the Scorpion.
  • Commitment confirmed to the ERC with the third edition of the #abarthrallycup, due to witness an exciting challenge between Abarth 124 #rally cars, in the running for the FIA R-GT Cup as well.

A 2021 in the name of the Scorpion for international motorsport. Many confirmations have been made by #abarthracing as they have unveiled their plans, having achieved important results last season both on the track in the Formula 4 championships and in rallies, courtesy of the #abarthrallycup and victory in the FIA R-GT Cup.

Abarth on track in both Italy and Germany

Numbers are constantly rising for the single-seater series with Abarth engines that have seen an average of over 28 drivers per race, with a maximum of 34 cars on the track. For the #italianf4championship Powered by Abarth, the 2021 season will be the 8th with a chassis-engine package praised by all insiders, so much so it has been selected in multiple national Formula 4 series, including Germany’s ADAC F4 series, the 7th edition of which will take place in 2021. The 160-hp Abarth 414TF 1400 cc T-Jet continues to be one of the most commonly used and reliable engines in the preparatory series. As the 2021 season begins, the Abarth Power Unit is once again demonstrating its potential in the UAE F4 series where young drivers can prepare for the season in the best way possible. The big names as the season begins include Enzo Trulli, son of the former F1 driver Jarno; Hamda Al Qubaisi, who began competing in the 2020 Italian series; and several drivers who have already been announced as starters in the European series, such as Spain’s Pepe Marti, the American Enzo Scionti and Germany’s Jonas Ried. The Middle Eastern series will be concentrated in January and February, while on May 16th the #italianf4championship and ADAC F4 championship will start in Le Castellet and Oschersleben, respectively.

Abarth #rally Cup – European #rally Championship: a perfect combination once again in 2021

The confirmations for #abarthracing are also coming in the world of rallying with the Abarth 124 #rally, again due to feature in the FIA-ERC, the European championship that will see the adrenaline-packed Scorpion sports cars compete in 6 of the 8 scheduled events. There will be a rich prize fund for the 2021 edition. At each race, the winner will receive a prize of €10,000, while the drivers mounting the second and third steps of the podium will win €8,000 and €6,000. The title of #abarthrallycup 2021 champion will be worth €25,000. To follow the victory of Andrea Mabellini, who also won the FIA R-GT Cup, the race for the 2021 title begins with 4 events on tarmac and 2 on gravel. The 2021 season will kick off from May 6th to 8th at the #rally Islas Canarias, on tarmac. It will then move on to its two stages on gravel in Poland (June 18th-20th) and Latvia (July 1st-3rd), later continuing with the #rally Roma Capitale, the Barum #rally Zlín in the Czech Republic and the season finale in Hungary from October 22nd to 24th. While the #abarthrallycup is now a certainty, there will definitely be no lack of appearances of the Abarth 124 #rally in the stages of the WRC World Championship, where it has always given its opponents a hard time.
