The second Grand Pix of the Trentino triple took off today at the spectacular #pietramurata Ciclamino circuit, high in the Dolomite Mountains and close to the ever-popular Lake Garda.

The fantastic news for Team HRC and Slovenian superstar #timgajser is a fourth World Championship title is in their hands, further cementing their long standing and dominant partnership – #racing at the highest levels in the sport.

Tim started race one in an awkward seventh position, giving him quite a task to lift the title before the end of the day. Gajser push-on though and clicked-off riders until he was challenging for the lead. Tim's HRC crew kept emotions under control though and assured Gajser via his pit-board that all was well and he should relax and bring it home safely.

Gajser crossed the line in second position, adding 22 points to his now unassailable GP tally; and with three races to go in the 2020 Championship, the Slovenian was crowned Champion once again.

Race two witnessed a freak accident in turn two which saw Team HRC's World Champion tangle with Team SR Honda Motoblouz rider Jeremy Van Horebeek riding the CRF450R. The accident was concerning to all and the FIM decided to 'red-flag' the race as Jeremy Van Horebeek's leg was stuck in the swinging arm of Gajser's factory Honda. After medical attention, thankfully, 'Jerreman' was OK and the race could restart.

Gajser took the holeshot this time and the Team HRC's star led from start-to-finish, giving him the overall win, adding even more smiles to all of his dedicated and professional team.

Team SR Honda Motoblouz #mxgp rider Valentin Guillod had a promising second race, coming home in 10th place, handing him 14th overall on the CRF450R.

In the MX2 class the CRF250Rs were out in force. Race one saw four Hondas cross the line within less than four seconds of each-other, but it was race two that would decide who would be the leading Honda in the overall results.

It was Team Honda Assomotor's Stephen Rubini who battled hard to improve from 10th on lap one to cross the line in seventh overall, giving the Frenchman 9th overall and 24 valuable World Championship points.

Stephen's teammate Alvin Östlund finished the day just four points away from Rubini with 10th overall. It was then Honda 114 Motorsport's Bailey Malkovich in 11th and stand-in rider Morgan Lesiardo in 12th. Once again, four Honda's bunched together in the final points today.

The gate drops on next and final round of the 2020 FIM World Motocross Championship in four days time here in Trentino and Honda's MX2 racers are hoping to finish the season on a high.
