Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Problemi di gomme per Fores a Barcellona
La Superpole race e gara2 hanno concluso il sesto round del campionato mondiale Superbike che si è disputato questo fine settimana al Circuit Barcelona Catalunya in Spagna.
Nella gara di ieri Xavi #Fores, il pilota del #kawasakipuccettiracing, non aveva visto premiato il proprio impegno, in quanto a causa di un calo di gomme si era dovuto accontentare della tredicesima posizione. Questa mattina, in una giornata soleggiata e fresca, il pilota spagnolo ha disputato la Superpole Race sulla distanza di dieci giri.
Xavi è scattato bene al via, mantenendo la tredicesima posizione che occupava in griglia. Con un ritmo costante, #Fores è riuscito a recuperare una posizione e a chiudere al dodicesimo posto.
Anche in gara2 la partenza dello spagnolo è stata buona, ma dopo alcuni giri Xavi ha iniziato ad accusare un problema alla gomma anteriore. Nel proseguo della gara il problema è peggiorato, tanto da costringerlo a rientrare al suo box per sostituire lo pneumatico. Una volta rientrato in pista, #Fores ha potuto tenere un buon ritmo, ma a causa della sosta al box non ha potuto far meglio del quindicesimo posto, raccogliendo comunque un punto per la sua classifica, che lo vede al quindicesimo posto con 37 punti.
Il prossimo appuntamento con il Campionato Mondiale Superbike è fissato per il weekend del 2, 3 e 4 ottobre sul circuito Nevers Magny Cours in Francia.

"Dopo tutte queste gare il mio feeling con la #moto è buono e mi trovo bene nel guidare la mia Ninja, se non fosse per la mancanza di potenza al motore. Questo è il problema principale. Oggi in alcune curve stavo quasi per tamponare chi mi precedeva, ma poi in rettilineo perdevo terreno nei loro confronti. In queste condizioni è difficile gareggiare, anche perché devo forzare le staccate e stressare le gomme. Inoltre in gara2 abbiamo probabilmente utilizzato una gomma anteriore difettosa, perché non potevo guidare ed ho rischiato varie volte di cadere. Mi sono dovuto fermare al box per sostituirla e una volta rientrato in pista il problema era sparito. Sono molto dispiaciuto, perché ora mi trovo bene con la #moto e con il team ho sempre avuto un rapporto eccezionale, ma non riusciamo a raccogliere i risultati che meritiamo. Continueremo a lavorare e a dare il massimo, e speriamo che a Magny Cours, una pista che mi piace molto, si possa ottenere qualche buon risultato".
Kawasaki Puccetti #racing – Tyre problems for Forés at Barcelona
Today's Superpole race and second Superbike race brought round six of the Superbike world championship to a close at the Barcelona Catalunya circuit in Spain.
In yesterday's race #xavifores, competing for #kawasakipuccettiracing, did not see his efforts rewarded as a drop in tyre performance meant he had to settle for thirteenth place. This morning, in sunny but cool conditions, the Spaniard lined up for the ten-lap Superpole race.
Xavi made a good start, holding his position through the opening laps. A consistent pace saw him make up one position and cross the line twelfth.
The Spanish rider made another good start in race 2, but a few laps in Xavi began to suffer a problem with the front tyre. As the race went on, the issue got worse and eventually the rider pulled into the garage to change the tyre. Back out on track, Forés was able to maintain a good rhythm, but couldn't do better than fifteenth place having lost time in the garage. He therefore scored one championship point, meaning he now lies fifteenth in the standings with 37 points.
The next round of the Superbike world championship will take place over the weekend of 2-4 October at the Nevers Magny Cours circuit in France.

"After all these races, my feeling with the bike is good and I can ride my Ninja well, aside from the lack of engine power. This is the main problem. Today, through certain corners, I nearly collided with the rider ahead, but then was losing ground to them along the straight. In these conditions, it's hard to race, also because I have to force my braking and stress the tyres. Also, in race 2, we probably used a defective front tyre, because I couldn't ride and risked crashing on several occasions. I had to come in to change the tyre and once back out, the problem disappeared. I'm really sorry, because I'm getting on well with the bike and have a great relationship with the team, but we can't score the kind of results we deserve. We'll continue to work and give it our all, and hope that at Magny Cours, a track I really like, we can score some good results."
