Team Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP test rider #sylvainguintoli explains how to set up a production Suzuki #gsxr1000r road bike during a recent trip to an open track day at Oulton Park in the UK.
In the video, shot before the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic forced a lockdown of global motorcycle sport and social gatherings, Guintoli walks-through and explains in detail the small-but-important adjustments you can make to the machine - in this case the new 2020 #gsxr1000r - under various weather conditions to improve performance and lap-times.
As normal for Suzuki’s #motogp test rider, his video is entertaining and informative to anyone considering trying-out a track day, or even just setting up their machine for various road-going conditions.
Said Guintoli: “It was a blast to record the video “HOW FAST IS A STREET BIKE” at Donington Park. I wanted to use the #gsxr1000r absolutely standard so I didn’t change any settings to record the fast lap. On the way home I couldn’t stop thinking about a few setting modifications to improve the performance on track, so I made a few adjustments and went back on track a few days later to check it out.”
