2020 Dakar - Stage 9: Adrien Metge maintains his position!

After a difficult period of recovery, all the competitors set off this morning for the 9th stage of this 2020 Dakar which was held in memory of Paulo Gonçalves.
Unfortunately for our #sherco TVS Rally Team, we were dealt another hard blow today with the abandonment of #lorenzosantolino. After Johnny Aubert had to abandon during stage 6, it is our Spanish riders ill fate to have to leave the adventure. The good news of the day is for #adrienmetge who continues his adventure and remains close to the top 10 in the overall standings.
This is the last stage before entering the "Empty Quarter" of this 2020 edition. A quick stage with a very large connection in which the riders have to start very early in the morning.
Adrien Metge - 19th : After having seen his teammate and compatriot Johnny Aubert leave the Dakar prematurely, Adrien now sees Lorenzo also withdrawing because of an injury. The whole team remains united behind him so that he can best manage the pressure of being the last #sherco rider in the general classification. Today, Adrien rode another excellent stage. He has shown exemplary consistency since the start of the rally and it has paid off with a 12th place in the overall.
Lorenzo Santolino - abandonment: After jumping a dune and a violent landing, Lorenzo broke his left elbow. We are awaiting for more news from him. One thing was certain, the pain was too severe for him to continue. As of this evening, Lorenzo will return to Spain to recover as quickly as possible from this injury so as not to lose to much time off of the bike.
Harith Noah - 29ème : The nice surprise of the day, Harith joined the top 30 after a very nice stage.
The 2nd super-marathon starts tomorrow with more than 500km of specials on the program, half of which will be dunes ... On arrival, the motorcycles must be placed in the holding area and the riders will only get 10 minutes to perform maintenance on the bikes. It will be very important to save the machine and the man in order to reach the finish!
