PETRONAS Yamaha Sepang #racing Team pair #fabioquartararo and #francomorbidelli are fired up to finish off the 2019 #motogp season in style, as the championship returns to Europe for the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana. Frequently a weekend of weather surprises as the action gets underway at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in mid-November, the newly-crowned Independent Teams’ champions are going into the weekend prepared for all eventualities despite the technical and physically demanding nature of one of the shortest tracks on the calendar.
Now 23 points clear in the Independent Riders’ championship, Quartararo looks set to add another laurel to his palmares as he rounds out an incredible rookie season at the track where he made his #motogp debut in testing twelve months ago. Finishing sixth there last year in wet conditions in the Moto2 class and a four-time winner at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo en route to back-to-back CEV Moto3 titles in 2013 and 2014, Fabio has plenty of experience and good memories at the Valencian track as he prepares to see out an amazing season.
Franco Morbidelli is also an experienced competitor at #valencia, twice a podium-finisher at the traditional season-ending round in the Moto2 class. Wanting more last time out at the team’s home race at the Malaysian Grand Prix despite starting from the front row earning a trip to the winners’ enclosure as top Independent Rider and sixth overall, Franco too is keen to go into the winter break showing what he’s capable of with a strong result to round out the year at the 4km-long Spanish track.
Action at the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana gets underway on Friday 14th November with practice at 0955 local time (1655 Malaysian time), before the 2019 #motogp season concludes with race day on Sunday 17th November.
