Boulogne Billancourt, September 13, 2019 - Following its reveal to the public in June 2019, the New #renaultzoe is taking to European roads with an offer of 100% electric driving pleasure and a new dimension thanks to a range of up to 395 km WLTP*, a more efficient 100 kW engine, its loading versatility and a high level of equipment starting at the entry level.

The launch of the third generation of Renault's flagship vehicle in its 100% electric collection is a major milestone in the Group's strategy for large-scale electric vehicle development.Seven years after the release of what has become Europe's best-selling urban electric car, New ZOE evolves in versatility, quality and technology. And it offers superior features, right from entry level, all while remaining affordable.This evolution is immediately obvious. On the outside, New ZOE shows its personality without losing its distinctive fresh design. The interior has been revolutionized, with a fully redesigned instrument panel and dashboard for improved comfort.
On a technical level, New ZOE is both more autonomous, with a battery of 52 kWh lasting up to 395 kilometers in the WLTP* and has more recharging options thanks to the introduction of a direct current (DC) charge. With its more powerful 100 kW motor, New ZOE offers even more driving pleasure.
More generally, New ZOE is the result of a concerted effort to optimize the main elements necessary for the operation of an electric car, from the chassis to the brakes, without forgetting the steering and power electronics unit. This new generation has all the features necessary to be at the cutting edge of electric performance while still remaining affordable.
The electrical architecture has been entirely redesigned to accommodate the standard digital instrument panel as well as several advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). As for the lighting, it is now 100% LED from entry-level specifications, offering 75% more brightness compared to halogen lighting, with equivalent energy consumption.
And when it comes to connected services, #renault has equipped New ZOE with #renault EASY CONNECT. From the driving aids to a 10-inch display, the #renault EASY LINK multimedia system, to the new urban mode, all are designed to make everyday driving easier and more enjoyable.
The concept, design and assembly of the car are all carried out in France, as is the construction of the motor and the main mechanical parts. New ZOE thus benefits from the expertise that Groupe #renault has fine-tuned in the country where it was born. Also, the localized manufacture of the vehicle requires a minimal amount of logistics flows and takes place as close as possible to the countries where it will be sold.Once on the road, New ZOE does not generate any emissions during operation, of course.** But the reduction of its environmental impact does not end there. The story of ZOE in numbersNearly a decade has passed between the initial presentation of the ZOE Z.E concept at the end of 2009 and the launch of New ZOE. In this time, #renault has established itself as a pioneer and leader in electric mobility, driven in particular by the success of its flagship model.
A few numbers…More than 160,000 registrations by the end of August 2019 and just as many drivers won over! ZOE sales have been growing steadily since its launch. Its cumulative sales make it the most prevalent electric vehicle on European roads.18.2% market share in Europe in 2018. With nearly 40,000 new registrations, ZOE accounts for nearly one in five electric cars sold on the continent. It is number one in sales in Germany, Spain, and France, where it achieved a 54.9% market share over the year.More than 60 awards across Europe. Regularly praised in the media, since 2014 ZOE has retained the title of “best electric car for under £30,000” awarded by the British magazine What Car?. ZOE’s successive developments have enabled it to achieve exceptional longevity.More than 4 billion kilometers traveled. The flagship vehicle of Renault’s 100% electric range has achieved the equivalent of over 10,400 Earth-to-Moon journeys without emitting a single gram of CO2 during use!One billion euro. In June 2018, Groupe #renault announced an investment plan to make France a center of excellence for electric vehicles within the Alliance. By 2022, it plans to double ZOE's production capacity at the #renault plant in Flins, near Paris. More than 30,000 #people. This is the number of Groupe #renault employees involved in ZOE on a daily basis, from the sales network to engineering and assembly lines.

September 27, 2012. #renault creates a buzz at the Paris Motor Show with the official ZOE launch. Revealed a few months prior in Geneva, ZOE unveils its fluid lines and inviting interior for the first time.
December 11, 2014. A new electric motor is unveiled, entirely designed and manufactured by #renault in France. Launched in the spring of 2015, it improves energy efficiency and allows ZOE drivers to enjoy 30 kilometers of additional autonomy with the same level of performance. November 30, 2016. The second generation of ZOE benefits from twice the autonomy thanks to the introduction of the Z.E. 40 battery. It is accompanied with new innovative connected services specifically designed to simplify route planning and recharging.
February 19, 2018. The introduction of the R110 motor allows ZOE to gain 2 seconds when accelerating from 80 to 120 km/h. Not only is this enjoyable for the driver, but also reassuring when entering the highway or overtaking.
March 21, 2019. #renault launches the first prototypes of ZOE equipped with reversible charging in the Netherlands. This full-scale experiment marks the advent of two-way charge solutions that will further enhance the role of the electric car in the energy transition movement.
June 17, 2019. Renault reveals the third generation of ZOE with even more versatility, driving pleasure and comfort.
