Volkswagen donates two Multivan minibuses for Memorial Site work at Auschwitz

Volkswagen has donated two #volkswagen Multivan1 minibuses to the International #auschwitz Committee (IAC). In future, the vehicles are to be used in Oświęcim, Poland, for transporting #people including survivors, international guests and voluntary workers to the #auschwitz Concentration Camp Memorial Site. #volkswagen and the IAC have been closely connected for over 30 years by their work on the joint project “Auschwitz – Remembrance and Responsibility”. During this time, about 3,300 #volkswagen apprentices from Germany and Poland have worked together to help maintain the Memorial Site of the National Socialist extermination camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau.

Volkswagen Human Resources Board Member Gunnar handed the two vehicles over to IAC Executive Vice President Christoph Heubner and Deputy Director of the #auschwitz Memorial Site Andrzej Kacorzyk, this afternoon at the German Resistance Memorial Center in Berlin.
