Team Suzuki Press Office – May 28.

Alex Martin - 250 Class - 10-6 for 6th Place
Justin Hill - 450 Class - 8-7 for 7th Place
Kyle Peters - 250 Class - 27-20 for 24th Place

The JGRMX/ Yoshimura/ Suzuki Factory #racing Team travelled to Fox Raceway in #pala, California this past weekend for round two of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro #motocross Championship. Two-time 250 National series runner-up Alex Martin fought hard in both motos to earn sixth overall amongst a deep field of talent. In the 450 ranks, a rejuvenated #justinhill arguably put together his best performance of the year in finishing seventh overall on his RM-Z450. Unfortunately, for Kyle Peters, a first turn pile-up left the RM-Z250 rider fighting from the back of the pack.

After a rough opening round last weekend, Hill went back to the drawing board and spent a lot of time on his Suzuki RM-Z450 in preparation for the Fox Raceway National. Despite a 16th place start in the first #moto, the 24-year-old quickly worked his way up to eighth place, where he eventually finished. A top-10 second #moto start is exactly what Hill needed to build his confidence. He remained with the front-runners for the opening stages of the race before settling into seventh. Hill made huge strides from the previous weekend with his 8-7 #moto scores.

“I was super bummed after Hangtown and didn’t want to feel that way again,” said Hill. “The experience really motivated me. I’m starting to put my best foot forward. This is a new mindset, so it will take some time to get where I really need to be, but I’m excited to build on this weekend and see where we can go.”
