Small SUV with great power – ABT Sportsline boosts Audi Q2 to 228 HP

The #suv wave started with the really big ones and has long since arrived in the subcompact car segment as well. Per definition, that is where the successful #audi #q2 belongs, but with regard to workmanship, equipment and handling, it could easily hold its own in higher segments. The powerful gasoline and diesel engines are also definitely not what you would normally find in a subcompact: the strongest diesel has an impressive 190 HP (140 kW) from a 2-liter engine and spearheads the entire engine range with a torque of 400 Nm. The new ABT Power boost also builds on this engine. The specially developed ABT Engine Control (AEC) has made 215 HP (158 kW) and 440 Nm possible. As a series car, the strongest gasoline engine features the same power as the diesel. However, ABT Sportsline even boosts this version a little bit more. Instead of 190 HP (140 kW), it now features
228 HP (168 kW), while the maximum torque reaches 360 Nm instead of 320 Nm.
Despite the high center of gravity, which is typical for SUVs, the Audi Q2 handles perfectly on the road, as several car tests have proven. The icing on the cake are the ABT Suspension Springs, which lower the #q2 by 40 mm at the front and rear. And drivers definitely do not need to worry about the necessary traction for this top diesel, thanks to the standard quattro drive. The suitable alloy wheels, on the other hand, do warrant a little deliberation – ABT Sportsline offers three attractive designs from 18" to 20" sizes. The DR, ER-C and FR models do not only differ in shape, but also in the color finish. For the ER-C, customers can even choose between two different surface options: "gun-metal/diamond-machined" or "matt black".
