The Abarth F4 International Championship: this weekend sees racing in Germany and in Russia

  • Single-seater Abarth-powered cars will race in the second leg of the #abarth F4 ADAC German Championship and also in the opening leg of the F4 NEZ Championship.
  • 40 drivers in the German races, 19 in Russia.

  • The popularity of the #abarth T-Jet engine among drivers on these 'junior' #racing cars is confirmed.

The Formula 4 #abarth engine #racing scene expands further this weekend, with two simultaneous international events: the German Sachsenring circuit will host the second #event of the #abarth F4 ADAC German Championship, while in Russia, the F4 NEZ Championship will be inaugurated in parallel with the Formula 1 race.

The Tatuus single-seater with the 160 HP #abarth T-Jet engine is winning over additional countries, and is establishing itself as the most successful car in this apprenticeship series, reserved for the youngest drivers coming up from Kart #racing. Over 40 drivers #racing in the Italian series, the same again in the German series, and now a further 19 competitors at the launch of the F4 NEZ Championship, to be held on 7 circuits in Russia, Holland, Sweden and Finland.

In Germany the duel between the Australian Joey Mawson and the German #mickschumacher will be renewed: in the first #event, in Oschersleben, Mawson won the first two races, and Schumacher the third. Mawson leads the points table, followed by the young Schumacher in second place. The three races in the Sachsenring are scheduled for Saturday 30 at 16.45 and Sunday at 11.20 and 15.40.

A spectacular setting for the F4 NEZ Championship, where the drivers will compete in companion races to the Russian Formula 1 GP: the young drivers will hail from Russia, the Scandinavian nations, Holland and Spain.
