Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

Preparations for the start of the ADAC GT Masters season, from 15th to 17th April in Oschersleben (DE) entered the finishing straight with the official test at the Motorsport Arena on Monday and Tuesday. #bmw Motorsport Juniors Jesse Krohn (FI) and Louis Delétraz (CH) took the opportunity to perform important set-up work on the new #bmw #m6gt3 with the Schubert Motorsport team. This also marked the first on-track appearance of the Junior Car in its special livery, and the first opportunity to compare the car with its strong opposition. Thirty-four GT cars will take to the grid for the opening races.

Krohn will return to Oschersleben in a few days’ time, when he will contest the first two races of the season alongside #bmw DTM driver Martin Tomczyk (DE). Tomczyk will be on hand to pass on his wealth of experience as team-mate and mentor. Delétraz will make his race debut in the #bmw #m6gt3 at the second race weekend of the ADAC GT Masters, at the Sachsenring (DE, 29.4.-1.5.), when the two #bmw Motorsport Juniors will share the cockpit of the Junior Car for the first time.

Jesse Krohn: “Thanks to my outings in North America and in the VLN, I already have a few kilometres under my belt in the #bmw #m6gt3. That is certainly beneficial to me during the preparations for the start of the season in the ADAC GT Masters. The car is new and has a lot of potential. It is now up to us drivers and the team to take advantage of this potential and to find the right basic set-up for each racetrack. Martin Tomczyk’s experience will certainly help us in this regard. I am really looking forward to contesting the first race of the season alongside him in the #bmw #m6gt3 Junior Car with this fantastic design. I will have to change my mindset from endurance #racing to sprint races, but I am sure that we will have a lot of fun in such a high-class field.”

Louis Delétraz: “A lot is still new to me, as I switch from single-seater cars, in which I have spent most of my time, to the #bmw #m6gt3. I still have a lot to learn, but the guys at Schubert Motorsport are helping me a lot and I am improving with every lap. You can see that in the lap times. I love the design of the #bmw #m6gt3 Junior Car and can hardly wait to finally line up for my first race with the car at the Sachsenring. Tests are extremely important to me. However, as a #racing driver, you only get that real adrenalin kick when you are on the starting grid and it is time to get down to business.”
