Fiat Chrysler Automobiles sponsors the eleventh edition of Formula SAE Italy

Once again, this year #fiat Chrysler Automobiles will sponsor “Formula SAE Italy”. Now reaching its eleventh edition, the event takes place from today until Monday 14 September. Organised by the Associazione Tecnica dell’Automobile, this will be the seventh time it is held in the "Riccardo Paletti Circuit" in Varano de’ Melegari (Parma). 

Formula SAE Italy this year will consist of 2 thousand university students from the main universities of 18 different countries, divided into 72 teams. During the four days of the event, the teams will present prototypes of electric or internal combustion racing cars designed and built by them, and these will race against each other on the racetrack and also be examined and judged by a jury of top motor racing experts.

The presence of #fiat Chrysler Automobiles as sponsor of formulasaeitaly confirms the Company's determination not just to maintain but also to strengthen the close ties it has with the academic world, a constant of FCA's strategy: establishing precocious and profitable contacts with tomorrow's talents. Through its own technicians and specialists, #fiat Chrysler Automobiles is present in the event's organising commission, in its project evaluation commission, and through professional and logistical support supplied to the Italian teams. FCA will also be present at the site with a stand organised by its Human Resources division, where the young participants will find ample information about joining the #fiat Chrysler Automobiles team.

Finally, in the paddock of the “Riccardo Paletti Circuit”, various vehicles fitting for a racing circuit will be displayed (including an Abarth 695 Biposto, an Alfa Romeo 4C Spider and two Maseratis, the MC Road and the MC 12), testifying to the Group's ongoing commitment to developing avant-garde technological solutions in the field of sports cars.
