New 500 moves the “Buongiorno, Dolce Vita" flash mob

The Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra behind the wheel of the New 500 to reach the iconic Trevi Fountain and enliven an unforgettable flash mob.
Starring "La Dolce Vita," an iconic melody rediscovered by #fiat in the CAM Sugar record company catalog and used for the recent New 500 commercial "The Driver" with Leonardo Di Caprio.

New 500, symbol of the dolce vita around the world, was the ideal companion to accompany the flash mob “Buongiorno, Dolce Vita” organized by the Italian record label CAM Sugar, with the support of SIAE (Società Italiana degli Autori ed Editori) and under the patronage of the Rome Film Festival.

The musicians of the Roma Sinfonietta Orchestra featuring the flash mob entitled “Buongiorno, Dolce Vita” in honor of the maestro Nino Rota’s score and reached the venue behind the wheel of the electric icon New 500. Thirteen people in tailcoats made their way to the Trevi Fountain, carrying suitcases of various shapes. Once they reached the iconic Fountain, they pulled out their instruments and played "La Dolce Vita" in front of a stunned audience.
The Italian Dolce Vita relived in Rome: a unique and unforgettable experience open to all, as only New 500 can be.

The New 500 is the iconic model of the Italian Dolcevita in all its splendor. Moreover, the connection between the New 500 and the melody runs deep: the original song which was recorded for Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita was rediscovered by #fiat in CAM Sugar’s archive and used as the soundtrack of the “The Driver” spot with Leonardo Di Caprio, the environmental activist and Academy-Award winner. The same archive holds film history masterpieces, including the music from Amarcord by Nino Rota used for the AVAS of the New 500.
The event was also a celebration of Fellini’s masterpiece which this year is celebrating the 60^th anniversary of its Oscar win for Best Costume Design. To mark the occasion, CAM Sugar is reissuing the remastered for the first time on double vinyl and digital with the participation of the heirs of Nino Rota and Federico Fellini.
