CM Racing Team doubles up: Simon Jespersen wild card at Donington

Important news for the #cmracingteam ahead of the next round of the 2022 World Supersport championship, scheduled at the British track of Donington Park from 15 to 17 July. The Roman team will be at the starting line with two riders: alongside #maximiliankofler there will also be #simonjespersen, as wild card.

Born in Copenhagen on 23 July 2001, Jespersen has already got to know the WorldSSP both last year, when in two rounds as a substitute he managed to hit the top ten - with an eighth position as his best result - and in this 2022, contesting - as a substitute - the Estoril round and conquering the points zone.

This season Simon is competing in the CIV Supersport, riding the Ducati Panigale V2 955 of the Schacht #racing Team, a structure supported by the #cmracingteam, where he can boast three sixth places as best result. Jespersen is competing also in ESBK, where he has repeatedly come close to the podium, collecting two fourth places.

In line with one of the aims of the collaboration between the #cmracingteam and the Schacht #racing Team Simon will therefore have a new opportunity in the Supersport World Championship, where he can prove his great value.

Simon Jespersen: "I am really happy about this opportunity, from which I will try to make the most of. In the WorldSSP championship the level is very high, but I am sure that by working in the right way we will be able to prove ourselves. I would like to thank Kristian Scov Petersem and the whole Shacht #racing Team, the #cmracingteam, my sponsors and my family".

Alessio Cavaliere (Team Principal): "As we all know it was our aim from the start of the season to allow Simon to play his cards in the WorldSSP, working with the Schacht #racing Team, and now the moment has come. We are all convinced that he is a very fast rider, who can be fast and at the same time help Maximilian, with his greater experience, to improve quickly. Together with the Schacht #racing Team we want to continue our policy of helping young riders, so we are very motivated".
