Technical upgrades increase performance for CUPRA Leon e- HYBRID

  • Refinements to the chassis make the #cupraleonehybrid version 25mm* lower, improving aerodynamics
  • The e-HYBRID version is now compatible with Brembo brakes
  • The plug-in hybrid can be configured in two trims: #cupra and VZ CUP
  • VZ CUP trim offers interior refinement with CUPBucket seats; positioned lower to deliver a more dynamic, focused but comfortable ride

The #cupra Leon, whether in hatchback 5-Door or Sportstourer body type, already offered a unique driving experience thanks to its highly advanced range of powertrains – including two plug-in hybrids – dynamic chassis technologies and mix of sportiness and sophistication in its exterior and interior #design

Now, with the introduction of changes to the chassis and drivetrain for the two e-HYBRID variants – 204PS and 245PS - the #cupraleonehybrid takes the king of Leons to a new level.

The #cupra Leon e-HYBRID’s chassis is now 25mm* lower, shifting weight down, making it even more assured in corners and improving the aerodynamics. And the e-HYBRID versions are now compatible with Brembo brakes. Brembo calipers combine with bigger disc brakes compared to standard options (370x32mm) that are also perforated with four pistons, offering increased braking performance.

When featuring Brembo brakes, the #cupraleonehybrid also incorporate sport uprights with a higher camber, offering intuitive and even more exciting dynamics.

CUPRA Leon e-HYBRID: #cupra and VZ CUP trim

The more powerful version of the #cupraleonehybrid (245PS) can now be chosen with the #cupra trim or with the new VZ CUP trim - a tribute to CUP Competition models.

The #cupraleonvzcup intelligently adds new elements to the high-performance vehicle. Inside the standout component is the introduction of the CUPBucket seats, available in Dark or Petrol Blue leather. The CUPBucket seats are mounted low in the cabin to maximise space and deliver a more ergonomic seating position – important in a vehicle with the sporting essence of the #cupra Leon.

The exterior also features modifications to bring out the #cupra Leon VZ CUP’s character even more, such as the copper carbon fibre rear spoiler (only for the 5-door variant), Dark Alu side skirts and the optional side mirror covers in copper carbon.

*production of #cupraleonehybrid with the chassis 25mm lower started in June 2021 (calendar week 25 / 2021).
