Genesis returns as title Sponsor of the Genesis Invitational
- Tournament to take place from Feb. 17-20, 2022 at The Riviera Country Club
- Broadcasted nationally on the #golf Channel and CBS
- Genesis will encourage fans to “Make the Game Your Own” through immersive experiences
PACIFIC PALISADES, California, Feb. 16, 2022 – For its sixth consecutive year, #genesis is partnering with the PGA TOUR, TGR Live and TGR Foundation to provide #golf enthusiasts an immersive experience at the Genesis Invitational.
“As one of the premier events on the PGA TOUR, we are pleased to host yet another year of the distinguished #genesis Invitational,” said #claudiamarquez, Chief Operating Officer of #genesis Motor North America. “The #genesis Invitational celebrates a culture of innovation and respect for the #sport of #golf, bringing interactive content, elevated hospitality, and an immersive experience for #golf enthusiasts.”
The tournament will host 120 world-class golfers, including #dustinjohnson, #justinthomas, #rorymcilroy, #jordanspieth, and 2022 Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption recipient #aaronbeverly. The winner of this year’s tournament will receive a new 2022 #genesis GV80 and 18 percent of the $12 million purse, bringing the winner’s share to $2.16 million. In addition, the player with the first hole-in-one each day on the 14th hole will also take home a 2022 #genesis GV80 and his caddie will receive a 2022 #genesis GV70. All players with a hole-in-one on the 16th hole will win a 2022 #genesis GV70.
An area of focus for The #genesis Invitational is giving back to the community. As part of its title sponsorship, the tournament will donate $500,000 to the #genesis Inspiration Foundation, a non-profit organization and ambitious youth program that supports education through the arts, by providing teenagers the tools to create social change through collaboration and creativity. Additionally, #genesis Gives, a new #corporate social responsibility initiative, will participate in Tee Off for Youth on Saturday, February 19th. The Tee Off for Youth program provides free transportation, tickets, lunch, apparel, and a curated day of programming to more than 1,500 Los Angeles area youth from underserved communities.
Guests of The #genesis Invitational will be able to easily interact with the full award-winning lineup of #genesis vehicles. This includes the G80 executive sedan, the G70 #sport sedan, the GV60 crossover, and the GV70 and GV80 SUVs. In addition, the 2023 #genesis G90 flagship sedan will make its public debut at the tournament with a completely redesigned, elegant look that reflects the bold new direction of the #genesis brand. The model introduces advanced assistance features, along with a variety of new technologies to enhance the driver experience. Vehicle display areas include the #genesis Entrance Pavilion, The Winner’s Circle, the #genesis Skybox, and the #genesis Lounge at the 14th Fairway.
The #genesis Invitational invites guests to celebrate #golf traditions in a unique, elevated setting with interactive exhibits that embody the theme of "Make The Game Your Own" by taking traditional elements of #golf and blending them together with modern points of view to elevate the guest experience. The #genesis Lounge
Located at the 14th hole, it is a first-class lounge open to all guests, with an unobstructed, elevated view from tee to green. In addition, #genesis is collaborating with Dryvebox to bring an unconventional, full swing #golf simulator within the #genesis Lounge. Utilizing Trackman technology, guests may participate in the #genesis “Closest to the Pin” Challenge or take a few shots with the help and guidance of a PGA Coach. The grand #prize includes an all-expense-paid trip to the 2022 President’s Cup.
Product Specialists
To ensure each guest has a high-touch engagement, the #genesis Product Specialist team will be on-course and available for any questions, inquiries, and walkarounds Thursday through Sunday of Tournament week.
Charging Stations and Premium High-Speed Wi-Fi
To keep fans connected onsite, #genesis will provide complimentary mobile charging stations in the #genesis Lounge and free sponsored premium high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the course.

Custom #genesis wrapped shuttles will provide shuttle service for the Main Entrance Concierge Tent to the #genesis Lounge.
Held near Genesis’ U.S. headquarters, the prestigious #genesis Invitational tournament will be broadcast nationally on CBS and the #golf Channel from February 17 – 20, 2022.
