Borilli Racing - enduro GP - terra unica GP of Portugal

Last weekend the penultimate act of the 2021 Borilli FIM EnduroGP World Championship took place.

For the second time this season Portugal hosted the world event, making up for the German GP which had been cancelled due to organisational problems linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. On Saturday 09th and Sunday 10th October the two days of competition took place in Santiago do Cacém, a small village a few kilometres from Lisbon, and the type of terrain our riders had to deal with in all three special tests was predominantly sandy.

Our riders #brunocrivillin, #sergionavarro and Dan Mundell opted for different tyre compounds based solely on their feeling for this type of terrain. The choice for the rear was between the 7 DAYS #enduro and 7 DAYS #enduro SOFT. As for the front tyre, all riders did not change the tyre at the tyre change because it did not wear out on the sand and remained intact.

Our rider, #alexsalvini, after winning the title in the 450 class at the Italian #enduro Champion, at the GP of Portugal put off his motorbike clothes to wear those of team manager and follow his riders in the race.

The best of our riders was #sergionavarro, who returned to #racing after his injury at the Swedish GP in July. The GasGas rider ran two excellent race days in Junior 1, finishing on the podium on both days.

Bruno Crivillin, as in the Estonian GP, has encountered many difficulties on sandy grounds, which are confirmed to be not very congenial to him and which, also on this occasion, have not allowed him to shine in both days of competition.

The French GP, which will take place this weekend, will be the occasion to show all the talent of the Brazilian Honda and #borilliracing rider #brunocrivillin.

Returning to the world championship after a long stop due to injury, the english rider Daniel Mundell, recording an excellent tenth place in Junior 1 on Day One despite a state of form not yet at the top.
