35° Biker Fest International - The Italian Bike Week Lignano Sabbiadoro (Udine) Italy - September 16-19, 2021

The Italian Bike Week in Lignano Sabbiadoro, confirmed through the public and the international guests the success of the last edition, earning again the title of largest outdoor motorsport #event in Europe in 2021. Not only the diamond point of the Custom segment, but a must-see destination for all fans of motorcycles and engines at 360°.

From 16th to 19th September, the spectacular 35th #bikerfest International took place in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD), with the proposals of the tradition and many novelties, welcomed by an enthusiastic audience. A second and brave edition during the era of the pandemic, which has put before the attention to safety rules, respected both for the good sense of the public flocked, through a strict protocol Anti-Covid and the control of the Green Pass monitored by the organization and the careful security service, and a constant and synergic communication with the Police Forces and in particular with the Local Police, which, besides the #event places, also supervised the City streets and followed the motorcycle parade "Saturday Night Fever" on Saturday night and the American Cars parade on Sunday morning. The meeting confirmed the resounding success of last year, demonstrating that the #bikerfest can adapt to any adversity. Excellent organizational quality, logistics and technical program that have been able to correspond to the hopes of what we can define in all titles, a successful plan despite being very, very articulated and complex. The estimate of participants reported by the competent authorities is close to 80,000 guests, despite the less than perfect weather on Thursday and Sunday, in a year in which even more urgent was the need for stand holders and the public to get a breath of fresh air, to "return to feel at home" with the #event that more than any other in Europe offers space to all fans of 2 and 4 wheeled engines, even electric ones!

The good weather of Friday and Saturday accompanied the central days of the #event, allowing fans and families to spend a few days of serenity at the beach and allowed everyone to discover the incredible location of this year: the beating heart of the entire #event, the Luna Park Strabilia, the vast Off Road Area and the Stadium Area (doubled compared to last year) together with the e-Mobility Village with the "Official" presence of the main motorcycle manufacturers who have tested their models for Demo Rides, practically equaling the record of free motorcycle tests of the last edition. As every year, the presence of the official Motorcycle Manufacturers in the Teghil Stadium area has attracted many visitors for the free tests with the new models made available.

This year the manufacturers present to take advantage of this huge audience were Honda, BMW Motorrad, Kawasaki, Triumph, Suzuki, #moto Guzzi, Royal Enfield, Brixton - Static Exhibition: Kayo - Ycf - TaurusClassic, while American Dreams, official importer of the huge Boss Hoss Cycles, has made yet another Boss Hoss Cycles Italian Rally, grouping more than 10 bikes from the mighty V8 Chevrolet engine (the smallest is 5700 cc! ), a fact that happens only at this #event, and the Gold Wing Club Italia realized the "Special #event for Friendship" with hundreds of participants.

There was also a Friulian rider only 15 years old, Lorenzo Frasca Italian Champion Aprilia Sport Production 2020 and Vice Champion 2021.

For the 35th consecutive year, the #bikerfest hosted the most historic European Custom Bike Show, the Italian Motorcycle Championship, the most important and popular #event among the international fans. In this edition, about 100 Special Motorcycles were registered in the location of Luna Park Strabilia and involved as never before the fans coming from Sicily, Calabria, Apulia, Campania, Piedmont, Lombardy and obviously from the neighboring regions and countries, but the bikes present at this edition also came from Austria, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Australia and the United States!

Seven kilometers of track dedicated to Off Road lovers with Enduro and Mini Enduro, and for the second year Garden Tractors Racing, Moped and Ape Cross.
In the renovated Off Road area, several tracks were specially prepared where you could see many riders driving and raising the dust in the almost endless curves, but it was also possible to take courses and rent 250 and 450cc vehicles on site. On Friday the Moto Therapy of the enduro riders of M.C. Sabbiadoro welcomed also twelve disabled people coming from Latisana and Rivignano Teor to give them a moment of adrenaline and normality.
The same charity initiative was offered on Saturday by the Manocchi Team that allowed in the 4 x 4 area to a dozen disabled people to have a ride with Side by Side and autocross, under the protective wing of the experience of Michele Manocchi and his sons Kevin and Giada.

The Jeep and Jeepers 4x4 in general, veterans of the Italian Baja have ventured into a long off-road route to test their skills even on extreme tracks and well visible to the public, over 80 crews have signed up and have given show for the entire weekend. Among the many other attractions, Saturday and Sunday the helicopter Elifriulia, cheered those present with sightseeing tours on the peninsula Lignano.

In the Luna Park area there was a great success for the #event Mods meet Rockers, the gathering of vintage Vespas, Lambrettas and scooters organized by the Ciao Mandi Grup with the help of the Vespa Club of Udine and the approval of the institutions. 120 participants confirmed their affection for the #bikerfest, some of which came from Pescara, Verona and Trentino, also facilitated by the reduced prices agreed by the organization with the accommodation facilities. As in previous editions, hundreds of exhibitors to satisfy everyone's tastes, including a dozen food stands offering specialties from every nation, from the local ones with regional products and recipes to those of central and southern Italy, not to mention foreign cuisines such as Austrian, Slovenian, Australian and Texan. There will be many stands with clothing and accessories for all types of bikers but also for the general public.

As for the great motorcycle touring, dozens of great Motorbike Travellers took part in the #event #moto Senza Frontiere, organized as always by Maurizio De Biasio from Pordenone, and brought on stage, in addition to their travel testimonials, many memories, their advice and even books and beautiful images of life lived on the road around the globe.

On Saturday evening, thanks to the support of the M.C. Morena F.M.I., the spectacular Parade of Lights "Saturday Night fever" took place in the streets of Lignano. Always with their collaboration there was the possibility to take part in the Moto Tour on Friday and Saturday touching cities like Aquileia, Cividale, Palmanova and Rivolto to admire the Frecce Tricolore that this year celebrated their 60th anniversary. Great was the appreciation of the participants. It was a unique opportunity to discover the territory of Friuli Venezia Giulia, which is one of the most popular regions in Italy as far as motorcycle tourism is concerned. It is not a coincidence that within the #event there was a stand of Tourist Promotion of the Territory that provided information to the many who took advantage of the 4 days for tourist and cultural trips. Hundreds of motorcyclists participated in the tours.

Even music was not lacking in this edition that has the name Rally-Race-Rock Festival, every evening different live groups have cheered the guests present in the Luna Park area with the great successes Rock, Rockabilly and Jazz. With a lot of listening music taken from the classic repertoire and that of the novelties, some even in acoustic, to enhance the quality and avoid the possibility of spontaneous dances.

The official T-Shirt of the #event has the slogan "Legends never die" on the back! And on the entry into the legend of the #event this time, we dispelled any doubt.

In addition to the already mentioned Jeep area, also the 4 wheels had an important role in this edition of the #bikerfest International with the 26th edition of the U.S. Car Reunion, the most historic meeting of American Cars in Italy, with about 200 American Cars (almost all powerful V8s plus more than 60 Jeep teams in the Off Road 4x4 area) and about a hundred Teslas with the great success of the parade on Sunday morning when they joined the tour through the streets of Lignano Sabbiadoro.

For the second year there was the e-Mobility Village, that took place in the area of the Stadium and allowed to all visitors to test for free electric and hybrid vehicles of all kinds. Apparently it was the largest #event dedicated to Green & Hibrid Cars ever held in Europe, with a huge potential for further growth. New this year is also the e-Mobility Meeting organized in collaboration with Tesla Club Italy, that on sunday has seen more than 100 electric cars parading through the streets of Lignano. The Green Area was organized in collaboration with the Consortium Lignano Holiday and gave wide space to the sector of electric mobility with prestigious companies present: Land Rover, MG, Jaguar, Askoll, Supersoco, Sunra, Garelli, Doohan, Concorde, Audi, Citroen, Olympia, DS, Hyunday, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Smart, Mini, Jeep, Fiat, Etriko, Horwin and Bluenergy.

Among the novelties also the Surf regatta anticipated to Saturday for bad weather and held in Terrazza a Mare, which involved the surfers of the school of Lignano. Pleased the exchange between the tourist reception facilities and the organization that have collaborated for the reception in an always spectacular Lignano Sabbiadoro. A challenge won by a staff that has been guided by the heart and the passion, but also by the rationality and competence acquired over time. Once again, at the 35th year, the #event has been reciprocated by the affection of an affectionate audience, welcomed in turn by a city that always supports the #event and dresses up to give a fantastic weekend to its guests!
