The 35th Biker Fest is officially open. Motorcycles, a tribute from the authorities and the international public
And if the #bikerfest calls, Lignano answers. Today the sun caressed the 350 stands of the fair and allowed the many entertainments scheduled to start. The presence of the authorities at the inauguration is the confirmation that the synergy between the Region and the flagship #event of the seaside resort works.
While extravagant motorcycles and vehicles coming from overseas crowded the parking lot in front of Luna Park Strabilia and the internal spaces, the registrations of the most renowned Costumizers of Europe and of the international scene continued, sons of the "Rats Hole" tradition, which gave birth to the Custom sector in the world.
To welcome the public from the main stage, an enthusiastic Mike Persello, who together with his father Moreno, undisputed patron of the #event, introduced the authorities at the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Councillor Sergio Bini underlined the international scope and the symbolic power of the #bikerfest for tourism: "I thank the organization and all institutions that came to pay homage to the internationality of the #event, in the midst of aromas and colors that excite body and mind". The mayor of Lignano Luca Fanotto: "I express gratitude for the virtuous exchange that binds the Biker Festival to our City since 2012. After two days from my settlement still had to build everything, and we worked together to create an #event that has never stopped growing, and we together with him. Synergy has been produced between the anatomical parts of a body made up of administrators and organizers that on stage appears healthy and long-lived". On the same wave the words of the councillor for tourism of Lignano Massimo Brini, who wishes a success comparable to the 90,000 presences of last year: "Complex organization but characterized by the charisma of those who have been creating this success for years". Maddalena Spagnolo, regional councillor, remembers with affection last year's edition: "I remember the experience of last year of this #event that has now completed its 35 years, survived and came out successful also from the hard test of Covid". Giuliano Gemmo as representative of the International Motorcycling Federation, organizer of the 12 hours of Lignano, expresses his gratitude to Persello family, that for years has put heart and soul for the success of the #bikerfest. ConfCommercio (Confederation of Commerce) of Lignano, through the vice-president Alessandro Tollon, thanks the organization for having been able to fill the city of guests arrived from everywhere and came here long before attracted by the #event. Piero Mauro Zanin, who wanted to bring his sympathy among the Stands and experience the thrill of sitting on the American Dreams sends a message of deep hope: "in addition to the classic greeting, I recognize the set of values that the world of Bikers embodies in itself. A world that supports itself and overcomes cultural, social and ideological differences, as a starting point and a model for a community that is starting again".
Already full at the Demo Rides in the midst of the static exhibition of the latest jewels coming out of the world's best engine manufacturers. The Biker is a legend also for this reason, because it knows how to be a bridge between past, present and the history to come.
From all over Italy to pay homage to the stands and circuits with their very welcome presence, the Bikers of the Woman International Motorcycle Association arrived at the E-Mobility Village. This worldwide association was founded in 1952 and opened its headquarters in Italy for the second time in April 2021 and has 66 members to its credit. "We met with the meeting "Babes Greate Escape" for women only - explains Rosaria Fiorentino from Cassino, energetic president of WIMA Italy - we organize courses in safe driving and mechanics but above all we create opportunities to be together. We are a group of friends between 20 and 62 years of age and we travel with motorcycles of all kinds
and brands. This world has been a rediscovery for us and has allowed us to live the Bikers Life with great serenity, without having to prove anything to anyone". A dozen of them have enrolled in the safe driving course of the journalist and pilot Caludio Corsetti, starting with some slalom between the pins and putting into practice the lesson of the master. "Many of them have been riding motorcycles for years - comments Corsetti - but few of them are willing to challenge themselves. We appreciate the idea of not wanting to stop learning instead.
Since the morning, the other areas of the #bikerfest have also been animated. The Off Road section hosted the disabled youngsters for the "Moto Therapy", a genuine adrenaline that the Motoclub Sabbiadoro offered to the 19 youngsters of the C.S.R.E. association of the Latisana and Rivignano Teor camps, who were escorted by skilled riders through the mud and the curves of the out door route. "A wonderful opportunity for inclusion - comment Cesare Zamarian and Michele Amodio, president and vice-president of the Motclub Sabbidoro- for these young people so eager to experience emotions "extraordinarily normalized". Thanks to the pilot Alessandro Battid of Team Specia, who dedicated his time to give a smile to these fantastic kids".
As per Biker's tradition, in the same time slot the Mototours started, an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Friuli and the colorful offer of a region that in the space of 100 km offers the waves of the sea or the coolness of the most spectacular peaks of the Alps. If we had to explain the Biker we would know how to tell you much more and we will not fail to do so in the two intense days that still await the enthusiastic audience.
During the afternoon live music by Stage Bowie and Acustic Rebels, hot grills of food from all over the Globe, amidst stalls displaying rare and sought-after items, to satisfy the public and its curiosity. All in compliance with the current rules of distancing and prophylaxis anti contagion and Green Pass requirement at the entrance. Except for these irreproachable rules, the 35th #bikerfest is open to everyone. Welcome Biker's friends.
