New label for used trucks with a quality commitment: "Mercedes-Benz Certified" now available in Germany

  • With MercedesBenz Certified, customers benefit from used trucks in top condition
  • 12- or 24-month drivetrain warranty valid throughout Europe
  • With 14-day right to exchange
  • Vehicles checked by MercedesBenz Service Partners to assure top quality
  • Available from now at the six TruckStore outlets in Germany

Stuttgart – There are plenty of reasons to choose used trucks. The new Mercedes‑Benz Certified TruckStore quality label makes this decision even easier for customers of Mercedes-Benz trucks: all trucks are checked according to the toughest criteria and they provide a lot of benefits.

The label will only be given to Mercedes-Benz trucks that are no more than five years old and have a maximum of 500,000 kilometres on the clock. The Mercedes-Benz Certified authentication also provides an assurance that these vehicles will require no maintenance for at least three months or at least 20,000 km (for trucks up to 12 tonnes permissible gross vehicle weight) or 30,000 km (over 12 tonnes) and are not due for any statutory vehicle tests within that period. The tyres of all certified trucks have a tread depth of at least six millimetres.

One integral element of the quality commitment is a 12-month warranty covering the drivetrain. This is valid throughout Europe with no mileage restriction and no excess. A 24-month warranty is available for selected models.

InterTranspo GmbH from Messstetten-Tieringen is the first customer in Germany to have chosen a used #truck with the Mercedes-Benz Certified Label. "We have been buying new and used trucks from Mercedes-Benz for many years now," said Rainer Müller, Managing Director of InterTranspo GmbH when he collected his new used #truck at the Berlin-Brandenburg TruckStore in Königs Wusterhausen. He also emphasised: "We value TruckStore as a competent, reliable contact whenever we need a vehicle due to high demand and things have to move fast. We can rely on the quality of the trucks and we know they've been tested and reconditioned according to Mercedes-Benz standards."

New in the #truck segment: used trucks with the right to exchange

Another new introduction is the 14-day right to exchange for vehicles with the Mercedes-Benz Certified label that are registered in the EU. If a customer is not satisfied with their chosen vehicle they can go back to the relevant TruckStore and exchange it during the two-week period. Certain charges may be incurred in connection with the exchange – for the mileage covered prior to returning the vehicle, for example.

Joachim Schlereth, Head of Sales and Services Germany at Mercedes‑Benz Trucks: "This exchange right is an important service for our customers. Not only do we stand by our quality assurance, but we also give our customers extra flexibility. As premium manufacturers on the used #truck market we want to be able to offer each customer a vehicle that precisely fits their requirements."

Mercedes-Benz Certified supersedes the previous TruckStore categories of Gold, Silver and Bronze, and it is now available in the whole European TruckStore network. In Germany, TruckStore is present at six outlets and in 2020 it sold more than 14,000 vehicles of all brands and ages. TruckStore Germany is truly international, with customers from more than 55 countries.
