Monterey, August 15 - The 36th edition of #concorsoitaliano ended yesterday, the international #event that for over 35 years has welcomed and gathered all fans of Italian cars on the green of the Bayonet and Black Horse Golf Course in Seaside, California, for the flagship #event on Made in Italy of the famous Monterey Car Week.
Yesterday the tricolor #event saw all the major Italian brands and 4,500 visitors from all over the world (limited number for health safety reasons).
In fact, more than 560 models were exhibited on the green, which covers over 5 thousand square meters of exhibition area, on display for the international public who loves the tricolor, who was able to see the works of art on four and two wheels of 11 exhibitor brands.
Also this year the most famous Italian brands paraded on the stage of #concorsoitaliano with the old and supercars of collectors who from all over the world brought their cars to exhibit and admire them, but also and above all to celebrate together the strong motoring passion that binds them as lovers of motors.
Tom Mc Dowell, President of #concorsoitaliano, comments: "We are very satisfied with how the #event went. Health restrictions linked to the pandemic forced us to limit the number of participants. Those present presented cars of absolute excellence and certainly this edition was of a high level of quality. Too bad we had few Europeans present, but objectively it would have been very difficult for them to enter the US now. "
The celebrations of 2021
Alfa Romeo, one of the most faithful brands ever at #concorsoitaliano, with the participation of Sports Car Market celebrated the Giulietta Sprint and its historic 2000 and 2600 models and the Montreal born in the 1970s in the Alfa Romeo house.
During the day, the anniversaries of some milestones of Italian car design were commemorated: the 31st anniversary of the Lamborghini Diablo and the 50th of the Lamborghini Countach, the 50th of the Maserati Bora, the 100th of Lancia Lambda and, finally, the 50th anniversary of the DeTomaso Pantera.
