Marchetti Tech presents the Grafy-Car™ line to revive historic cars like the FIAT 500

Marchetti Tech™ starts shipping GRAPHENE paint to Italy and other countries to paint FIAT 500s in the new Grafy-Car™ line

On 4 July 1957, the Fiat 500, also known as the 'New' 500 because it was destined to replace the pre-war 500 'Topolino', was presented. It was designed by Dante Giacosa. The Fiat 500 was the conclusion of the 110 project and was 297 cm long, 132 cm wide and 133 cm high, while the wheelbase measured 184 cm. Features included 12-inch tyres combined with cream-coloured rims, a canvas roof with a celluloid rear window and a 2+2 passenger compartment. The 'beating heart' was the 500 inline twin-cylinder engine with 13 bhp of power, longitudinally arranged at the rear, with overhead valves and air-cooled.

In addition, it was the object of attention of coachbuilder Karl Abarth, who created the track version for the record-breaking Monza circuit, thanks to its 26 bhp power and 118 km/h top speed. In the eighteen years of its commercial life, the Fiat 500 was produced in approximately 3,678,000 units, of which 181,036 as the 'New' 500 and around 327,000 with the Giardiniera bodywork. Production of the 500 reached an all-time high in 1970, with 380,172 units.  Nobody would have imagined that it would remain an iconic car and represent an Italian historical period in the world. Even today, everyone loves the Fiat 500, which has survived the passage of time and become a symbol of Italian-made products around the world, along with the Colosseum, the Tower of Pisa, the gondolas of Venice and the Vespa.

Today, many FIAT 500s are being restored in a masterly manner by craftsmen with golden hands who have the skills to return a historic car to its customers. Despite their efforts, however, many FIAT 500s suffer rust and are irreversibly damaged. Marchetti Tech™ has developed a line called GRAFY-CAR™ with which it is possible to treat the bodies of FIAT 500s and other classic cars. The GRAFY-Tech™ line depicted with a funny mascot contains GRAPHENE - the ultimate technology to make FIAT 500s legendary, in fact Marchetti Tech ™ guarantees the application with the GRAFY-CAR™ line for 12 years.

Mr. Emanuele Monticelli, owner of the historic Simon Carr 2 in Abbiategrasso (Mi), three generations at the service of classic car restoration has made enthusiastic statements about the new product: "We combine our professionalism and passion for cars with the latest technology, Simon Carr 2 uses modern techniques and the talent of old craftsmen to ensure that the classic car can survive over the years". Marchetti Tech is therefore ready to revive historic Italian cars such as the FIAT 500 thanks to graphene, an example of how technological innovations can be at the service of history.
