METZELER riders were protagonists at the French GP which took place in Requista. Steve Holcombe, Brad Freeman, Loic Larrieu and Andrea Verona have monopolized the podium of the EnduroGP.
Requista (France), 19 and 20 September 2020 - The premier of the FIM Enduro World Championship was staged in Requista, in the Massif Central area and was organized by the Motoclub Requista Motorsport which designed for the occasion three very technical and challenging special tests to repeat for three laps.
The riders raced on mixed terrain; on Saturday dust and hard ground while the following day, after a few hours of rain in the night, the special tests were more muddy and slippery.
In the Enduro GP Steve Holcombe (Team Beta Factory Enduro) took a splendid double with his team mate Brad Freeman behind him. On Saturday it was the French rider Loic Larrieu (TM Racing Factory Team) who completed the METZELER podium while on Sunday Andrea Verona, teammate of Loic Larrieu, took third position. Extraordinary weekend for the young TM rider Andrea Verona. In his first year among the top riders the METZELER rider made his debut with a splendid double in the E1 class. Thomas Oldrati (Team Honda RedMoto) with the METZELER MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME won a second place in Day One and a third place in Day 2, again in the E1 class.
On Day One, METZELER official riders Steve Holcombe (Beta Factory Enduro Team) and Loic Larrieu (TM Racing Factory Team) shared the first and second step of the E2 class podium respectively. The following day was instead an absolute triumph for the official METZELER riders who all climbed to the final podium. Steve Holcombe dominated the E2 class, followed by Loic Larrieu, while Dany McCanney (Team Honda RedMoto) completed the final podium.
METZELER rider Brad Freeman won both days of competition in the E3 class and ran for the final title.
In the Junior 1 class Rony Kytonen (Team Honda RedMoto) took first place on Day One but had to settle for a second position on the following day.
METZELER celebrated the first podium in Youth for Jed Etchells (Fantic Darpa Racing Team) on Day2 and third position on the opening day of the French GP for Harry Edmondson (Fantic Jet Racing).
The FIM Endurogp World Championship will stop in Spoleto on the weekend of 26 and 27 September for the GP of Italy.
