Liveries revealed as M-Sport return to competition

M-Sport will return to competition with its top-specification Fiestas this month – Adrien Fourmaux showcasing the power and performance of the EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta R5 MkII while 'Pedro' takes to the wheel of the top-specification EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC.

Making his FIA European #rally Championship debut, Fourmaux will contest #rally di Roma Capitale alongside regular co-driver Renaud Jamoul and a striking new livery celebrating the successful partnership between M-Sport and Orange1 #racing.

The two joined forces as Simone Campedelli secured a victory and five podiums in last year's Italian #rally Championship, and the popular colour scheme returns in the hands of M-Sport's latest protégé at one of Italy's most prestigious events.

Fourmaux may not have tackled #rally di Roma before, but the Frenchman has form on asphalt and displayed stage-winning pace on his first outing with the Fiesta R5 MkII – setting six fastest class times on the asphalt stages of Rallye Monte-Carlo earlier this year.

Hoping to show that same pace on the Italian asphalt, Fourmaux will be looking to confirm his standing as one of rallying's most exciting young talents as well as the pace, performance and winning potential of M-Sport's latest global #rally car.

Taking to the wheel of the top-specification Fiesta for the first time, 'Pedro' and co-driver Emanuele Baldaccini will tackle back-to-back events on home soil in Italy – at #rally Stars Roma di Capitale as well as #rally di Alba the following weekend.

Both events take place on sealed-surface roads and 'Pedro' will be working alongside M-Sport's expert team of WRC-level engineers and technicians – devising the best set-ups and strategies and ensuring he extracts the most from the experience.

Having joined the M-Sport family last year, 'Pedro' quickly become a popular member of the team and now has an opportunity to experience the performance of an FIA World #rally Championship winning car that has delivered nine wins and 31 podiums in the hands of some of rallying's most celebrated drivers.

M-Sport Managing Director, Malcolm Wilson OBE, said:

"It's been a tough time for the business over the past few months, so it's great to see competitive rallying now starting to return in Europe. #rally di Roma signals the restart of international rallying, and provides the perfect platform for us to showcase our cars in what is sure to be a really competitive field. And I think I speak for every #rally fan when I say that I'm looking forward to seeing some of the sport's big names back battling it out on the stages."

Team Principal, Richard Millener, said:

"It's fantastic to be looking forward to a #rally again. Adrien was quick when he last drove the Fiesta R5 MkII on asphalt, and the hope is to see him demonstrate that same pace as he tackles #rally di Roma for the first time. It's also great to see 'Pedro' taking to the wheel of the Fiesta WRC. When he joined us last year he instantly became a valued and popular member of the team, and we're delighted to give him an opportunity to drive our top-specification car on home soil."

Adrien Fourmaux said:

"I'm really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel, and this is a great opportunity for me to prove our pace. I don't know these stages, but I've always liked the challenge of experiencing a new #rally for the first time. We showed good pace on asphalt at the start of the year and I think we are quite confident on this surface. The podium is our target, and I would be really happy if we were able to fight for the victory too."

'Pedro' said:

"This is an amazing opportunity for me that I never expected. When M-Sport decided to compete at #rally di Roma, they asked if I would also like the opportunity to drive their top-specification Fiesta on home soil and I only had to think for a couple of seconds before accepting! Thanks to M-Sport I will be living a dream and for this I will be forever grateful. This is the crowning achievement of my life as a #rally enthusiast, and I will be 100 percent committed to giving my best and making the most of this fantastic experience."
