Pirelli SCORPION ™ Trail II stands out in the enduro street tyres comparative test from Austrian magazine Motorrad Magazin

SCORPION ™ Trail II gains tenth important recognition in a comparative test, confirming itself as the number one tyre in the segment thanks to its unrivalled handling, mileage and safety, even in wet conditions

Milan, 26 June 2019 – Pirelli's successful story in the tyre comparative tests carried out this year by the most prestigious worldwide motorcycle magazines continues.
After the victory with ANGEL™ GT II in the Sport Touring tyre comparative test promoted by the Italian magazine Motociclismo and the one obtained with SCORPION™ Rally in the enduro on/off comparison organised by the German magazine Motorrad, another product of the Milanese brand gets a new and important recognition.
SCORPION™ Trail II confirms its position at the top of the enduro street segment with success in the authoritative Austrian magazine Motorrad Magazin, which promoted a comparative test of the best enduro street tyres available on the market.

Thus, since its introduction in 2015, SCORPION™ Trail II achieved its tenth success in a tyre comparative test. First a victory attributed by Motorrad in its debut year, then reconfirmed in 2016 by the same German magazine but also by InSella, Moto 80, Moto Magazine, Motociclismo España, Motoplus and Red-live.it and in 2017 by Motorrad&Reisen. All results that make this tyre one of the most successful products of the Pirelli motorcycle range.

This recognition further reinforces the supremacy of this tyre in its segment, also underlining how, four years after its introduction on the market, no other tyre manufacturer has managed to match the performance offered by the technological solutions adopted by Pirelli.

Specifically, the enduro street tyre comparative test was published in the Motorrad Magazin issue 5/2019 currently on newsstands. The editors of the Austrian magazine compared the tyres of five different manufacturers in the sizes 120/70 ZR19 front and 170/60 ZR17 rear, mounted on KTM 1290 Super Adventure S machinery.
SCORPION™ Trail II was compared with Continental Trail Attack 2, Dunlop Trailsmart Max, Bridgestone A41 and Avon Trailrider and, from the sum of the scores obtained in the individual criteria analysed, it achieved the highest score. The Pirelli tyre excelled in areas such as handling, mileage and braking in wet conditions, recording excellent results also in terms of grip, dry braking and off-road capabilities.
In addition to having emerged as a test winner, SCORPION™ Trail II was also recommended by the magazine as the tyre to purchase for highest mileage.

SCORPION™ Trail II has been designed as the synthesis of the meeting of two worlds: the field of off-road competition and the ‘road trip’. Designed for the most demanding motorcyclists, it features key points of excellence; high mileage, consistency of performance for its entire tyre life and top notch wet behaviour.
SCORPION™ Trail II is the Pirelli tyre specifically designed to meet the most demanding expectations of this market, with an aggressive tread pattern supported by strong technological innovations, giving good stability even at high speed, traction on dirt, handling, comfort and grip in all riding conditions. These qualities have made it successful in the many tyre comparative tests made by the most important motorcycle magazines in recent years.
