METZELER rider Jonny Walker conquers the third step of the podium at the
fourth round of the WESS that took place during the fifteenth edition of Red
Bull Romaniacs
Sibiu (Romania), 29 July 2018 - The
Red Bull Romaniacs is without a doubt the most challenging and difficult extreme enduro race in the world. In this, the fifteenth edition, the participating riders crossing the valleys of Romania with the help of GPS had to face extreme conditions and various type of terrains, which were made even more difficult by the frequent rains, interspersed with moments of splendid sunshine. As usual, there were a large number of enrolled riders taking part in the Red Bull Romaniacs, which took place over five days of racing, and which saw the riders involved in the Prologue on the first day, then taking on the long route through the Romanian valleys, ending on Saturday 28 July.
Excellent performances from the
METZELER riders at the
Red Bull Romaniacs, the fourth round of the WESS, with the final results seeing the Australian rider Wade Young cross the finishing line first, with Manuel Lettenbichler
, protagonist and winner of the fourth day of races, hot on his heels.Third place went to
Jonny Walker, provisional leader of the
World Enduro Super Series, who rode with
METZELER tyres.
The protagonist of the Opening Challenge and the first two days of races,
Taddy Blazusiac, surrendered right in the final stage of the competition
.The overall sixth place went to the rider from Team Eurotek KTM, the English
Paul Bolton, who amazed everyone with a fantastic race and for his fighting spirit.
The next round of the
World Enduro Super Series is scheduled for Saturday, 8 September in Poland, for the
