SCAB Design at SPOGA Garden Unique 2018

SCAB Design confirms its participation at SpogaGafa, the Garden Trade Fair in Germany, dedicated to leisure time and gardening. The #event is an international benchmark for the industry and one which #scabdesign has attended assiduously for the last thirty-four years, a testimony to the excellent planning of the #event and the company’s core business.

Luisa Battaglia, architect and art director of #scabdesign, second generation of all-Italian family-run business, comments, “SCAB Design was founded sixty-one years ago and pioneered the use of plastic for furnishings, excellent for use outdoor. We are now an internationally recognised company, located worldwide; a position which we have achieved through continuous hard work. Taking part in #spoga GAFA is extremely important for us. This year we will be exhibiting the two new products presented at the Milan Salone del Mobile 2018, namely the Vela sunbed and Summer chair, both of which were met with an enthusiastic response from the public. Vela appeals not only for its clean lines but also for the new features, such as the reversible, quick-change cover meaning it can be used twice. Summer because it represents a product type that was previously missing from our range.”

Don’t forget, however, that #scabdesign is also consolidating its position in the indoor market with tables and lounge seating. As Ms. Battaglia goes on to say, “Our latest challenge is to take indoor furnishing to the level of our outdoor furnishing. A challenge that we are pursuing in collaboration with well-established designers, chosen for their expertise and ability to interpret the philosophy of our brand. Our catalogue has long featured a host of ever popular products, such as the Zebra chair and the Metropolis table in a variety of versions. We are developing a range of more formal products in collaboration with Simone Micheli and Marcello Ziliani. We have already presented the Lisa chair by Marcello Zilianiwhich has proved a great success. Why? Because customers want to be able to choose and the endless combinations offered by Lisa allows them to do just that.”
