Nissan invites all football fans to have a place at the UEFA Champions League Final in Milan

Thiago Silva helps #nissan recruit fans on Nissan’s Facebook page to have their name weaved into the iconic UEFA Champions League flag that will be used in Milan 

  

With the UEFA Champions League reaching the crunch semi-final stage this week, #nissan – the official global automotive #sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, is offering an innovative way to allow fans to feel part of the action at the UEFA Champions League Final in Milan on May 28th.

 

UEFA Champions League supporters will be able to submit their name to be weaved onto the iconic flag which will then take centre stage on the pitch during half time. By micro-printing everyone’s names onto the flag, to create the shape of the stars, every fan who participates will get a small, but honoured place on the flag used as part of the biggest football game of the year. Fans will also be able to see their name on the flag for themselves via a high-definition image.

 

To launch the campaign #nissan ambassador, #thiagosilva turned football fandom on its head by asking supporters on the streets of Paris for their autograph, to encourage them to enter by commenting on the #nissan Facebook page or via the #nissan website from the 26th April. Fans have until 4th May to submit their name to be on the UEFA Champions League flag.

 

In addition to football fans on Facebook and the #nissan website, the whole campaign will also target internal #nissan employees and customers via #nissan dealerships.
