MXGP - Vlaanderen makes up for early tumble in RedSand’s MX2 qualifying race

Calvin Vlaanderen crossed the finish line in 18^th place aboard his 2018 Honda CRF250RW machine in today’s third-round #mx2 qualifying race, at the #redsand MX Park in Spain.

The 21-year-old South African of Team HRC did not enjoy the perfect launch from his gate and soon afterwards had a crash in the last sector during the opening lap. After re-joining the race in 31^st position, Vlaanderen got up to speed and showed a top-5 pace, which allowed him to make his way back to 18^th place before the chequered flag was waved.

The final day of the #mxgp of #lacomunitatvalenciana will be contested tomorrow, with the two races of the #mx2 class scheduled at 13:15 and 16:10 local time (GMT +2).
