Paul Di Resta again in the points after win in first race
After his win on Saturday, Paul Di Resta (Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM) finished the second race at the Hungaroring in P6. In front of 39,500 spectators through the gates over the weekend, his Mercedes-AMG Motorsport #dtm team-mates Robert Wickens (Mercedes-AMG C 63 #dtm Mercedes me) and Gary Paffett (Mercedes-AMG C 63 #dtm Mercedes me) placed eighth and ninth respectively.
Edoardo Mortara (Mercedes-AMG C 63 #dtm BWT) in eleventh position finished just outside the Top Ten. Maro Engel (Mercedes-AMG C 63 #dtm SILBERPFEIL Energy) booked P15 at the end of the one-hour race at the circuit not far from Budapest.
Lucas Auer (Mercedes-AMG C 63 #dtm BWT) retired his car in the pits with a technical problem 15 minutes before the end of the race. After six of 18 races staged so far, the Austrian is in second place overall in the standings. With 69 points, he is only one point behind the leader, René Rast (Audi).
The next race weekend: The fourth race weekend of the 2017 #dtm season takes place in Nuremberg in two weeks’ time (30th June - 2nd July). The two races (Rounds 7 and 8) on the legendary Norisring are generally regarded as the standout fixture on the #dtm calendar.
