Genesis coo Claudia Marquez recognized in reuters top 20 trailblazing women in automotive list

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., March 8, 2024 – Reuters today named Genesis Motor North America chief operating officer Claudia Marquez to its Top 20 Trailblazing Women in Automotive list.
In honor of International Women's Day, Reuters presented its list of Top 20 Trailblazing Women in Automotive. In naming recipients for its list, the publication sought nomination of individuals who have had a lasting impact on their industries, with a demonstratable track record of influence, impact, and leadership. Nominations were received from a broad set of industry stakeholders including but not limited to Reuters Professional and the communities served by Reuters Events.

Under Marquez's leadership, Genesis strengthened its position in the United States with recording-breaking sales, expansion of its U.S. retail network, and increasing brand awareness.
In 2023, Genesis reported a best-ever annual U.S. sales achievement with 69,175 vehicles sold, representing a 23% year-over-year increase. The brand also expanded its U.S. retail network with the opening of several standalone facilities. More than 100 additional facilities are in various phases of development. Additionally, through successful marketing campaigns and strategic sponsorships, including the recent Genesis Invitational hosted by Tiger Woods, Genesis continues to increase brand awareness within the U.S. market.
Marquez has more than 28 years of experience in the automotive industry. Previously, she served as CEO of Hyundai Motor Mexico and has held positions in multiple automotives brands, including BMW, MINI, Land Rover, Nissan, and Infiniti.
