Moto GP - Bardahl: Krummenacher and Caricasulo second and third in the WSSP race at Buriram

Hot and humid conditions at the #changinternationalcircuit in Buriram, Thailand, where the second race of the Supersport world championship has taken place today. Having been frontrunners in the practice sessions, in yesterday's Superpole, #federicocaricasulo and #randykrummenacher, riding for the Bardahl Evan Bros. WSSP Team, set the second and third fastest times respectively, and therefore lined up on the front row of the grid for today's 17-lap race, which got underway at 2.15pm.

Both riders got away well, but while Caricasulo moved straight into second place, Krummenacher found himself forced to slow to avoid contact with another rider. He was therefore lying eighth through the opening laps, at the back of the leading group. Together with two other riders, Federico gained a slight advantage, while Krummenacher began to recover, the Swiss rider gradually moving up through the field to reach his team-mate by the final stages, also setting the fastest lap of the race in the process (1'37"852).

In the last laps, four riders battled for the win, and in the it was Cluzel who triumphed ahead of Krummenacher and Caricasulo. A very hard-fought race, which again showcased the competitiveness of the Bardahl Evan Bros. WSSP Team riders. In the championship standings, Krummenacher leads the way with 45 points, tied with Cluzel, while Caricasulo is third with 32 points.

The next round of the Supersport world championship is set to take place at Motorland Aragon in Alcaniz, Spain over the weekend of 5-7 April.
