The past weekend was truly a very thrilling one for #abarth and its fans: the #abarthday on Saturday, the great appointment which brought together thousands of enthusiasts on the Varano de’ Melegari and Rockingham race circuits, was followed on Sunday by the spectacular performance of the Movistar Yamaha Moto GP Team sponsored by #abarth in Le Mans. It was an exciting race in the best spirit of the brand with the Scorpion badge, where Valentino Rossi with his eternal drive, style and passion for winning, made us cheer and then cry when the win escaped him just a few corners from the end of race he was leading.

His team mate Maverick Viñales toasted to success, demonstrating the outstanding capabilities of this bike and of the Movistar Yamaha Moto GP Team as a whole that put their riders in condition to fight and celebrate 500 wins in the top class of motorcycle racing.

The union between #abarth and Yamaha stretches from the track to the road. In the wake of the thrilling #abarth 595 Yamaha Factory Racing and the 695 biposto Yamaha Factory Racing Edition comes the new #abarth 695 XSR Yamaha Limited Edition special series, available exclusively with a Pista Grey livery: only 695 sedans and 695 convertibles will be made. The new #abarth is special all over: ultra-light Akrapovič exhaust with carbon fibre tailpipes to benefit personality, engine sound and performance, the racing-derived Alcantara® steering wheel with viewfinder and carbon fibre details and the mirror caps, also made of carbon fibre, make it truly unique. The new #abarth 695 XSR Yamaha Limited Edition is also equipped with integrated navigator (with 7-inch HD touchscreen, Android #auto and Apple CarPlay), automatic climate control system and leather seats with red stitching. It can be admired personally and ordered on May 27 and 28 in all #abarth dealerships across Italy.

The cherry on the cake for the brand with the Scorpion badge on this exciting weekend came from the Mille Miglia: Maria and Luigia Gaburri won the Coppa delle Dame for the first all-female crew in the final ranking. They are the daughter and wife, respectively, of Roberto Gaburri, founder and first president of 1000 Miglia srl (the organiser of the event) who passed away last year. The winners achieved this prestigious result with a 1957 #abarth 750 GT Zagato.
